you have to get half way through the article before they discuss Finley vs Williams.

Jer Mike has been running his mouth off a bit. The rest of the team is probably use to it by now.

Time and time again Finley has dismissed the concern about there not being enough footballs to satisfy all of Rodgers' receivers this season. But it would be hard for him not to notice the emergence of fellow tight end D.J. Williams, who until injuring an ankle last week was having one of the best camps of anyone on the team.

While Finley was hurt, Williams showed he could add something a little different. He can line up anywhere on the field, including the backfield, where he served as a lead blocker at times last season. Pass-catching is his forte and he's quick enough to line up wide or in the slot.

Many have assumed Williams would be a factor in the offense. Finley, who is very possessive when it comes to the tight end position, warned that the regular season - not training camp - would determine how the snaps are split up.

"Not taking nothing away from D.J., but camp is camp," he said. "San Francisco has a great defense. It ain't going to be nothing like camp, I guarantee you.

other parts of the article.

"You produce and get the timing and chemistry down, you get the ball," tight end Jermichael Finley said. "Hands down. It's not all the weapons we have or how many guys we have, it's about who's producing at the time.

"At the end of the day, it's on me."

Finley said the only way he can become a favored receiver the way Nelson was last year or Greg Jennings was the year before that is to produce. Never lacking in confidence, Finley's goal isn't to share the ball.

It's to have Aaron Rodgers throw it to him over and over and over again.

Yeah, Finley just isn't "Packer People", huh Wayne?

Competition is a good thing. I just wish Quarless was in the mix as well.

"The only blemish on Finley's record was 13 drops, an extraordinarily high total for someone who had barely dropped a half dozen the three previous years."

I put that there for those who think Jermichael Finley's 2011 season was the normal in the drops department. Oh no, facts hurt!

Finley is the only player I really hear on our team speak with entitlement. Confidence sometimes mixes with arrogance. It's okay, but kinda annoying. In any case, our best tight end (in my opinion) will be on IR to start the season. When he comes back, we have the complete offense back. Benson will be the game changer against teams like SF.

Tom Crabtree is a solid Tight End as well...

Finley drives me nuts. The guy needs to shut up and produce. Let his play do the talking.
