Alright. Maybe idiot was too strong a word then. Immature, sure. Heck, I didn't grow up until I hit my early 30s. It actually surprises me that more football players don't wreck their lives, considering 30 is old.

Going off your comment that you are surprised more athletes (my thoughts) don't wreck their lives... I'm surprised we don't have more people in place to guide them as well. That's a whole profession right that would help a lot I believe.

The advantage to the first choice is that you free up from age 45 on - the advantage to the second choice is that you will more than likely be financially secure.

Everyone struggles in some way or another. If you are alive you will have struggles. Some monetarily, some who don't have worries about money (like Jolly) have other issues.

Got married in her mid 30's now discovered that she can not have children. her body changed too soon. I sometimes bet she wishes they married sooner. I watched my brother get married at 19 cause he knocked up his girlfriend. He has had 3 wives, 3 children and is now on his own and alone.

I kind of regret not having my first child until I was 33. Now I'm going to be that old, fat, bald guy at his kid's high school graduation. I do not regret a minute of my twenties though. I was not mature enough for a family and knew it. I chose to have a lot of fun instead.

Because financial instability leads to extreme problems and extra stress to a marriage.
