Alright. Maybe idiot was too strong a word then. Immature, sure. Heck, I didn't grow up until I hit my early 30s. It actually surprises me that more football players don't wreck their lives, considering 30 is old.

Going off your comment that you are surprised more athletes (my thoughts) don't wreck their lives... I'm surprised we don't have more people in place to guide them as well. That's a whole profession right that would help a lot I believe.

Alright Zero move this topic over to Random Babble cause you jumped the shark. Is it better to have your children in your twenties, struggle, probably end up divorced; or is it better to have fun, go to college, find a career and then settle down after 30?

The advantage to the first choice is that you free up from age 45 on - the advantage to the second choice is that you will more than likely be financially secure.

Gross generalization.
My parents, my wife's parents, my wife and I, her 4 sisters, my brothers and sister (4)
were all married in our 20's. (parents were in their teens) Only 1 divorce.

Everyone struggles in some way or another. If you are alive you will have struggles. Some monetarily, some who don't have worries about money (like Jolly) have other issues.

yeah but there are 9 other sibling marriages. Where they all old too? Shall I pull in my friends and neighbors into the discussion? Point was you can marry young and have a meaningful relationship. You don't have to wait till your 30. And no matter what age you are you will struggle. My secretary waited. Got married in her mid 30's now discovered that she can not have children. her body changed too soon. I sometimes bet she wishes they married sooner. (They were together for 3-4 years before getting married.) That is one of their struggles.

Well my point that a person needs to secure an education and career and take care of his/her own future before including others.

I watched my brother get married at 19 cause he knocked up his girlfriend. He has had 3 wives, 3 children and is now on his own and alone.

I kind of regret not having my first child until I was 33. Now I'm going to be that old, fat, bald guy at his kid's high school graduation. I do not regret a minute of my twenties though. I was not mature enough for a family and knew it. I chose to have a lot of fun instead.

I never said that people who get married young don't have their marriages end in divorce. I said it was a gross generalization on your part to say people who do get married in the 20 will probably end up in divorce. And you also implied that if people marry later they won't have struggles.

Needs to? Your own secondhand life experiences do not invalidate countless successful marriages that disagree with you. I'd definitely agree that security with one's self is important, but why the heck do you need an education, a true career, and a solidified future in order to have a successful marriage?
