My prediction for the 1st 2 rounds are Konz and James running back from Oregon 🙂
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I'm curious if Barron is available whether Ted takes him. Potential Safety need and is highly rated but may slip to us due to limited teams who need a Safety who doesn't also have other pressing needs as well.

I just assumed that when someone says BPA they mean based on needs and not strict BPA. That goes for any team not just the Packers.

That said if someone really stands out at a relatively moderate need I can see Uncle Teddy picking the player because his value is so high.

If the Packers perceive a player to be a starter at OLB and the only other starter on the board is at RB ... the best player available to them would be the OLB.

BPA doesn't mean Mel Kiper Jr BPA, it means BPA for the team. That's how and why the Packers (and most other teams) can say they don't draft on need, but rather they always take the best player available. And no one can argue it.

Trxx- Rodgers selection wasn't simply BPA regardless of need. GB certainly had a need at QB. Even without Ol No 4's on and off / hokey pokey retirement dance. It takes at least 3 years to develop a QB. Picking Rodgers in 2005 meant he would sit and learn for at least a couple of years before he would have to lead the team. While it was not a white hot need for 2005 it was a dire need for the franchise's future. That is a mark of what makes Ted such a good GM. Get the players you need for the future now and develop them. Don't wait until the need is critical and then throw these college kids out there and expect them to excel. Give them some time to learn. The NFL is a lot tougher than college. Even the SEC little alone the other BCS conferences or mid major programs.

Of course nothing is cast in stone with Uncle Teddy. If the following draft is deeper at a position Ted appears to be willing to wait for the richer harvest. Ted thinks about the health of the franchise as a whole and not the individual seasons.

In retrospect, I think most of the posts in regards to BPA are really saying the same thing in a different way and it's not communicating. So BPA vs need really boils down to a combination of something like talent and need as it relates to the team, equalling the value to the team(BPA)?

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
