Gents, we are a week away. I do think something big will break for us. I'll predict either Finley or Jones gets traded, or both by Wednesday or Thursday. I could see all of these teams in play for a deal like that:

6. STL
7. JAX
8. MIA
9. CAR
10. BUF
11. KC
12. SEA

It would certainly have to be a special deal (player or players and multiple picks) to get up there, but not impossible. I would love love love for us to add TWO top-of-the-food chain pass rushers day one (if they deem said players they would project and target worthy). All of those teams have multiple receiver needs. Oh man!

I bring him up for a few of reasons.

1. He's under contract on a relatively friendly deal for two years.
2. The vertical threat TE has turned into a rather sexy commodity in the past two years.
3. There are very few that fit that commodity profile in this draft.

We won a SB without him. We have enough weapons.

Jermichael Finley will not be traded before or during this draft. I do see where you think it's possible, since the Packers have several other TE's. If Andrew Quarless had developed more and was healthy, you may be on to something ... but sorry bud, you're not.

What other scenarios do ya got? 🙂

I think the Packers will make a trade, but it will be out of the 1st round.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I think instead of trading our players for a shot at a pass rusher, we should send our second rounder to Miami for Cameron Wake. He's pissed they won't give him a new contract. Last time we played the Fish, Wake turned our Bulaga whale into a flounder.

Do we really need to revisit the ways he is used in the offense and the matchup problems it creates for opposing defenses? That's SOOOO 2011.

I'll eat his drops -- which aren't unique, but rather unfortunately endemic of Green Bay skill position players -- if it means we get all the other bonuses. Yeah, his numbers aren't through the roof, but it we are also a buhjillion deep at receiving options. Finley is a stud.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.
