It's being rumored that he's informed the Broncos of his choosing them.

Well you called it Z2C.

I must admit from the final 3 choices I really thought that Denver would be the last of his choices.

I'll admit that I am curious as to the stats Manning will put up with less than ideal home weather conditions.

This is a very good situation for Elway though if Tebow was never going to be his guy. Less likely to be a fan revolt if you trade Tebow to make room for one of the greatest QBs of alltime.

Broncos is the team I'd have chosen if I wanted to stay in the AFC. They have a fairly weak division, good running game, solid OL, good pass rushing defense and shit, they won a playoff game against the AFC representative in the prior Super Bowl with a QB who can't really throw. Ironically enough, said QB threw the game winning TD in overtime. lol

I'm excited to see what happens.

A little food for thought ... remember we said the Packers defense was kind of lacking urgency because they knew the offense would put up points? I wonder if something similar happens to the Broncos with Peyton Manning? Maybe their defense had that sense of urgency cuz they knew Tim Tebow wasn't going to put up big numbers?

As I mentioned in the other thread , Manning probably was Elways best way to get out of the Tebow trap he found himself in.. and just as important as a Healthy Manning is an upgrade to the offense on the field, it also provides an exit strategy on moving Tebow and probably short term keeping Elway employed with the Broncos and not getting pummeled by the fan base for eventually replacing Tebow.

Tebow was not Elway's guy.. but the perfect storm last season force Tebow upon the two John's. And they had success doing it.. hence the trap was set in full force.

This move, albeit a huge risk, gets them out of the pressure to develop and play Tebow.

Personally, I think it a mistake to move Tebow via a trade, but Elway is more than likely going to move him to end the potential of it coming back full circle.

I see this ending badly for both the Broncos and Manning, I hate to say it but I see health forcing Manning off the field prematurely and the fan base still coming back and looking to virtually lynch Elway for trading Tebow. Every time Tebow wins a game.. it will flare up again and again.

I see this as a “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.” type move.. borrowing time and hoping to have the two bits in the pocket come Tuesday so to speak.

Manning wins big.. Elway and Fox come out smelling like roses.. all other avenues probably lead out the door.

Manning and Elway deserve each other.

It's bad of me to say so, but I'd love to see the whole thing implode on them.

Maybe they can hire Darrell Bevell as QB coach and bring Brett in as a consultant, too.

:)

I really thought he was gonna go with San Fran. I'm glad he didn't!
Do you think he can play in the cold? He's used to the dome.

Denver has an up and down climate. I've been in Denver around Christmas and 60 plus degrees. And.....been there at Thanksgiving and in the 20's. Who knows what it will do. Just doesn't get really, really cold. i.e. Lambeau!!

And....the stadium does have a dome. It's called Rocky Mountain Front SMOG! As bad as LA's. Coming down I-25 from Fort Collins looking into Denver, it looks like it has an ugly brown blanket over it. Nasty stuff.
