UFA/possible cuts

LT Clifton: 5,703,125

*Clifton can be cut, retire, or go the way of Mark Tausher and Al Harris. His knees are gone and Ted has invested two 1st round picks into OTs. between Sherrod, Newhouse, or a rookie we should land a quality tackle.

RB Ryan Grant: 4,750,000

WR Driver: 5,600,000

*5.6 million dollars is way too much for a 4th reciever (5th?), great guy.. but we need the room.

CB Jarrett Bush: 1,733,333

TE Jermichael Finley: 1,363,250

QB Matt Flynn: 571,043

DT Howard Green: 810,000

CB Pat Lee: 765,000

OLB Erik Walden: 584,750

C Scott Wells: 3,350,000

TOTALS:

8 UFAs clears (roughly) 14 million.

if you cut Clifton and Driver the number is closer to 25 million in cap space. An additional 3.4 million becomes available if Nick Collins retires.

it seems like a lot of room, but you have to factor all the contracts that get a bump this year, and rookie contracts. cap fills up fast.

Estimated contracts of FA targets

C Scott Wells: 4 million yearly avg. (similar to Jeff Saturday)

OLB Mario Williams: 10-11 million yearly avg. (similar to Demarcus Ware)

TE Jermichael Finley: 5.4 million franchise tag

*I'll add more tomorrow, im sleepy*

Oh hello there Mario Williams, didn't expect to see you there.

PS I see you mentioning the 25 million number will change because you are using this seasons salaries...so that could change significantly. Also when you say how much we save by cutting this guy and that guy are you just taking their salary off the books and calling it good or are you factoring in the dead money we'd still owe them?
BAD EMAIL because the address couldn ot be found, or is unable to receive mail.

I don't see any scenario where Jermichael Finley is tagged via Franchise. Packers want long term, Jermichael wants long term. It'll get done.

anyone else notice that Woodson is out biggest cap hit next year? He is scheduled to make $11 million and Rodgers is only at $9.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)
