May not even have to face the Saints anyway. Especially if Atlanta somehow finds a way to win the division.

So I don't think it's as clear cut as you think.

Falcons put up 44 points last week and 31 the week before with Matt Ryan throwing the ball well. It's not like the falcons are offensively challenged themselves. I also would say that the Falcons, defensively, seem to give Brees all he can handle. Kind of like the Bears USUALLY do to Rodgers.

When comparing Rodgers' statistics to Brady's or Brees', people often seem to overlook the fact that Rodgers has already sat for at least three quarters this season. With that in mind, his statistics are nothing short of mind boggling.

1 Aaron Rodgers, QB GB ~ 45 TD's, 6 ints
2 Drew Brees, QB NO ~ 37 TD's, 11 ints
3 Tom Brady, QB NE ~ 36 TD's, 11 ints

With all of that said, ARod put the nail in the coffin last night. Even if all MVP voters were from Louisiana or West Lafayette, IN, ARod's end-of-season 140+ QBR/5 TD performance pretty much ended the debate, IMO.

Is the MVP announced before or after the playoffs are done?

If it's before, then maybe Brees should win. Rodgers will have an enormous chip on his shoulder which would just make "1 2 3 Dominate!" even more so. [grin1]

Of course if its after the playoffs, never mind. There's no contest. Rodgers all the way.

There's been a lot of chirping down in New Orleans but as it has beens so well stated in many of the earlier posts, if Mike had turned Aaron loose the whole season and let him finish games, his numbers would well exceed Breeses.

Player awards are great, but this team has stayed focused on their ultimate goal to repeat as SuperBowl Champs.

I fairness to New Orleans, they haven't exactly had many opportunities to play outdoors this year. If I am not mistaken, they play 12 games in domes this year.

Brees with a 4 touchdown game now has 41 TD's but threw 2 picks giving him 13 on the season. Now owns the passing yardage record.

Enjoy your meaningless record, I'll take 50 less yards a game if it means less picks and keeping my QB out of harms way when the game is sealed.

Wow, I watched the Saints game. If he plays us like that against us and we don't pick him 5-6 times, I would be shocked.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.
