Peter King claims he's still a Hall of Fame candidate.

Edit, actually, a guy being a candidate doesn't mean much at all. Any player in the NFL who has been retired for 5+ years could be considered a candidate. 😉

Report: Vikings to release McNabb

The Vikings have made it official: Donovan McNabb has been placed on waivers.

A brief notice went out to the media formally announcing the transaction on Thursday afternoon.

The move means that Vikings coach Leslie Frazier becomes the third head coach in 20 months to dump McNabb, following Eagles coach Andy Reid and Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, although Frazier called it a mutual decision.............

Amazing how far McNabb has fallen.

All I have to say is, It's about time. Ever since the game in Soldier field where he layed down for a safety, I would rather see Ponder get schooled and the Vikes lose the rest of their games than McNabb attempt to play QB.

VR and Formo - isn't it time to cut loose your entire scouting department and general manager, along with the lame duck coach? Just wondering what you think? I mean the embarrassment of drafting Troy Williamson and Erasmus James before Aaron Rodgers should be enough to warrant the pink slips.

Was Rush Limbaugh out in front on McNabb, or was he just a racist prick that deserved to be fired?

I just re-read and re-watched what Limbaugh said, along with many of the comments at the time.

Limbaugh was right, and not just in hindsight. Donovan got by on drive and determination when he was young and hungry, but he lost that a long time ago. Now he's trying to rest on his "skills" which were never very good to begin with.

I'm not a bit surprised (nor saddened) to see that no one put in a waiver claim for him.

You should not even consider putting names McNabb and Limbaugh in the same sentence.

Donovan McNabb - Although not particularly fond of him as a QB, I repsect the man

Rush Limbaugh - The name alone make me want to puke.
Limbaugh is a boil-on-his-ass draft dodging, chicken-hawk, pompous blowhard, sack of shit, bigoted fuckwad, dickhead coward and a waste of humanity.

There are not many items left on my bucket list, but the #1 last thing..... is to live long enough to shit on Limbaugh's grave.

(Watch and learn, boys and girls, while 'ol Foster works Vikesrule into a complete froth in this thread, lol)

I was merely asking about what he said at that time- We all know what everyone on this continent thinks about him by now, both pro and con--- Can't even ask a question around here anymore, for cripes sakes.

Observation- The top flap of the oreo cookie container with adhesive for freshness has to be the only real original thought coming out of the baby-boomer generation of engineers. It's a good one, so congrats for that. 😇

If they had a GM, then you'd be onto something. But in classic douche fashion, you expose your ignorance. I'd love to point out that the verdict is still out on Fraizer, but I forget it's like convincing a rock to sprout legs and run when discussing anything with you.

I'm sorry Formo, but making the NFCCG doesn't mean you're 1 player away from winning the super bowl & the Vikings have conducted themselves in that manner for many years. Drafting Peterson and Harvin in the first round and calling yourselves draft experts is pretty laughable.

This year, you'll be drafting in the top three in each round. Is there any confidence, there will be some legitimate talent added to your roster - or will they blow it again?
