Apparently on ESPN Milwaukee Rodgers supported Jones.. anyone catch it?

One thing for me to say @packers need to re-sign James Jones. Another for @AaronRodgers12 to. Very strong words of support with @ESPNHomer.

Only thing I could find...

“Let me just say this: I have a ton of confidence in James and his abilities,” Rodgers said late last season. “He’s a guy I think we need to keep around . We need to find a way to get him the ball more often. He’s as talented and as good as any receiver we’ve got when the ball’s in the air, using his body. Obviously I know he’d like to come up with a couple more plays here and there, but I have absolutely no reservations throwing him the ball.”

Sorry Aaron, too much $, too many drops, and too many other targets (Jennings, Finley, Driver, Jordy plus Cobb was just drafted).

I'm all for bringing him back on an incentive based deal, but I know some other team is going to offer him more money and more targets than we can. I'll still root for him because he has a great story and seems like a good guy.

Speaking of drops, can someone post the numbers for drops again?

Am I the only one who remembers seeing Jordy Nelson have a lot of drops as well? I'm not justifying Jones' drops -- but if you have a choice between two people who have lots of drops, why would you take Nelson over Jones?

(other than you have another year of Nelson being cheap and Jones likely needing more dough, which of course is always a non-football argument.)
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

This is not news. Of course Rodgers is going to support his teammate. It would look bad if he failed to do so. Thankfully Rodgers doesn't try to play GM, like that guy before him did.

I just think that Jones' drops just seemed to always come on huge plays that could have swung the momentum of games (the Jets game comes to mind), which is why he has gotten that label.
