Is it just me or does Lumpkin remind any of of Ahman Green?

Perhaps it's just the style of arm pads he was wearing, but I couldn't help but think about Mr. Green while watching Lumpkin run.

For what I saw of the game, I liked what I saw. I didn't really like Brandon Jackson's runs too much though.

Really? I thought he ran the ball very well. I remember him breaking some tackles and showing some speed and elusiveness. I'll watch the game again tonight, probably. Maybe I missed something.

I was kind of preoccupied with some useless drama so I missed a large portion of the game. I only remember (for runs) a few plays where Jackson was knocked around. He did have a nice run after a catch though. I was impressed by that.

Jackson had some good runs. Our blocking broke down a lot. He made an amazing play on a short little screen pass up the middle.

Offense did pretty good, but defense needs to get rid of the mental mistakes.

My thumbs down goes to the D-line. I couldn't believe how we were getting shredded there on the run.

Oh! I know....and it IS just preseason. It just worries me that if we get ANY injury on the line, is this what we will see the rest of the season?

How'd that new guy Allen do for us? I only caught the first half..

Thumbs up to ARod of course.. he played pretty good, almost perfect in my view.. good way to bounce back after a horrible game. See if he can do this with consistency in the regular season.

Thumbs up to Lumpkin as well too. I didn't like the idea of keeping him over Justin Beaver but he looks pretty good, I'd like to see us cut Wynn and Morency, keep Herron and Lumpkin.

Thumbs up to the coaching staff as well, for already listed reasons. The play calling was surprisingly good. I liked how we came out passing right away then mixed it up with the run. This game is a big upside to the teams morale, hopefully it will give em a huge boost when they face the Titans.

Thumbs up to Ted Thompson & MM

Allen got in on one or two plays. Nothing special. Another DT, Malone, got a nice pressure at the end that forced an incompletion and pretty much sealed the win.

I watched the game again, and a few other things stood out to me:

1. Desmond Bishop stuffed two running plays at the line of scrimmage, delivering a huge hit on one of them. Hodge had a quiet game and only got in on one play that I could see.

2. The new TE, Jeremichael Finley, got several snaps with the first offense and had a nice catch and run in which he broke a tackle.

3. One time on a 3rd and 7, the Packer defense went with just two linemen, both ends, and they blitzed three linebackers up the middle. The Denver QB, Patrick Ramsay, was pressured immediately and had to throw the ball away. I'm not sure if the Packers would try this in a real game, as it could be risky. An audible to a running play could result in a big gain up the middle.

4. Aaron Rouse had two big tackles near the line of scrimmage to shut down one Denver possession. But then, we've come to expect this from him, haven't we? He did give up a first down on a pass play, though. He was playing too deep. I'm not sure if it was completely his fault or if a linebacker was supposed to cover the short route.

EDIT: I also noticed that on the one sack, which happened when Tauscher got beaten cleanly off the edge, Rodgers was unable to step up because Daryn Colledge basically escorted his man into Rodgers' lap.
