This is not a bad schedule at all for defending SB champs. Only tough two game stretch seems to be the Detroit/NYG combo, and there is a long week in between. I don't mind finishing with two home games either. Hopefully it means our guys will get into a routine as they prepare for home field advantage through the playoffs.

I'm guessing the Packers aren't looking forward to the 11 days, 3 games combo of Vikings (MNF), Bucs and Lions (Thursday). But at least two of them are home games so they don't have to travel. But they do have the long travel to the Chargers right before that combo.
And the Chiefs, Bears and Lions finish may not be good. I do think the Chiefs and Bears are over rated but the Bears ALWAYS give the Packers fits and the Packers ALWAYS make big mistakes against the Bears (which maybe it's the Bears causing them because it doesn't always happen against other teams)
I've mentioned this before ... I prefer Sunday Night Football games over Monday Night Football. Since MNF went to ESPN, it just hasn't felt the same to me.

Yeah, the Sunday night game feels more "big time" to me now.

Yeah MNF seems too gimmicky... and too much action and attention being put on who's calling the game and what they did that week and the funny moments/reactions they're had and not enough attention on the game.
I HATED!!! that for one season they would cut away from the 3rd Quarter and do interviews. I mean MNF was a waste for the 3rd quarter. I remember they brought on Deanna Favre on and it was an interview for a bit and she kept saying lets watch the game... and the kept doing the interviews and not watching the game what so ever for the 3rd quarter.
I like Jaws and Gruden calling games but I think they're too much a like and too much into playing games and not focusing on the physical linemen parts of the game and focusing too much on the QBs...
One guy who I really like is Rich Gannon calling it. He's a bit dry and boring but it lets you focus on the games more and so does he. He's straight to the point, game clearly comes first over jokes or back stories. And he tries to break down stuff and even talks about what the linemen have to do and when they're doing a good job.
I think Gannon calls the Packers pre-season games but normal does AFC games with CBS Sports.
