I'm not sure what to make of the AFC West this year. K.C. and Oakland are no longer pushovers. The Chargers should still be formidable. The Broncos may be the only bad team in that division this year, and I'm not even sure about them.

I think the AFC West is over rated. (because they played each other and the NFC West)

Chiefs beat Browns, Jags, Bills, Titans, 4 for 4 against the NFC West and 2 for 6 in their division... beating those teams doesn't impress me... and lost by 23 in the playoffs. Jags and Chargers didn't have losing records but we're very up and down with their play...

Chargers can be a force but made a ton of mistakes last year.

Raiders went 2 of 10 in non-division games, beating the Rams and Seahawks (but losing to the 49ers and Cards) Of course they did go 6-0 in the division.

Broncos went 4-12 but has some talent but can't get it together and haven't been able to stop the run.

===============================

And the NFC South did get to play 6 games against NFC West / Panthers last year.

Point is the teams that got to play the NFC West last year got their stats pumped up by it... I mean not a single team got to a even record of 8-8.

The second game against the Bears in the bitter cold at night should be interesting

Good point. But it's a home game so the home fans should keep them warmer 😛 🙂

I kind of agree with the idea of getting rid of the heaters on the sidelines (if the cold isn't a risk to the guys healthy).

Because with heaters some will be thinking about the next time they get to the side lines and warm up. But with out heaters they're kind of forced to focus on the game and warm up by moving... which you're moving when you're in the game...

I know there is a desire among Packer fans to have the season open by playing the Saints. I wish it would have been the Bears. I like the idea of the oldest rivalry kicking off the season.

Like beast said, I don't care that GB plays Minn twice so soon.

I like playing warm weather teams at home in Dec but I realize the move to face division opponents at the end of the year.

Normally I would not be a fan of playing so many away games at the beginning of the season but it should work out alright.

Just once I wish the NFL would get on the ball and schedule the bye week to follow a Monday night game are precede a Th night game. It would make things a little easier for the teams if they did.

I like playing Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. Makes the whole day more enjoyable. The Lions always play GB tough on TGD.

Normally I like GB to be the 3:15 on Sundays. Usually that means I get to see the game on tv. I wish the Denver game was not at 3:15 since it is one of the games in my package. It means I will get home around midnight. Of course it is better than them being the Sunday night game.

I still have to go look at the Bears games to see how many times the NFL paired Chicago and GB up to have the same schedule. (Noon Fox games or facing AFC teams the same week.)

Looks like I will miss weeks 2, 15,17. That it is only 3 games is great. That it is 2 of the last 3 games with one of them being NYD stinks.

I can probably catch the first two on the Zero network. I will most likely be with family on NYD and won't have access to the internet.

I'll definitely be heading to the game in Charlotte. It's just right down the road! So awesome. I can almost guarantee they'll be more Packer fans there than Panthers. Their fans are such flakes!!

Not sure when I'll make it up to Lambeau yet. I sure hope the season isn't delayed!!!

My brother lives in Myrtle Beach. I'd love to catch the Panthers game with him...

Only semi-related: Packers only appear in 4 out of 32 prime-time game this year. Has any other Superbowl Champ ever been so thoroughly crapped on by the networks?
