Todd McShay has a 2 round mock on ESPN. He has us grabbing Brooks Reed at 32 and Allen Bailey, DE from Miami at 64.

I think a trade down with Cincinatti or Buffalo or Washington or any of the other needy QB teams is probably what Ted is counting on. There no reason why Brooks Reed or Danny Watkins wouldn't be available a couple picks later. I could easily see that happening and us picking up a high 4th round pick to use on a receiver or lineman.

Something like this,

Trade down w/ Washington to pick up a 4th rounder.
41. Brooks Reed
64. D-line
96. O-line
105. WR
128. CB/RB/etc

It seems like a good idea, but I would not be opposed to moving up for a stud LT.

Here's a player I haven't seen going to the Pack in any other mock drafts.

CBS Sportsline

Martez Wilson, ILB, Illinois: A highly-touted prep prospect, Wilson only emerged as a standout for the Illini as a junior - and that was at inside linebacker. However, at nearly 6-4, 250 pounds, Wilson demonstrated rare overall athleticism at the combine and is a prospect scouts believe could be just scratching the surface of his potential. With the final pick of the first round and needing a pass rusher to complement Clay Matthews III, GM Ted Thompson can afford to gamble that Wilson's burst could make him a superstar off the edge.

I have watched Wilson play for a few years. I like him.
I don't know if he can slid over to the OLB position. I will let the experts decide that.

It seems like the first round is a risky place to draft a guy who will be playing a different position (although it's not as crazy as the Jaguars drafting Matt Jones, a former QB, as a WR).

He seems to have the size and athletic tools (4.49 forty!!!!!!). This report is kind of concerning.

Rotoworld

Illinois ILB Martez Wilson struggled at the Fighting Illini Pro Day according to multiple accounts.
Wilson demonstrated "stiffness," according to Sporting News' Russ Lande, and CBS Sports' Rob Rang heard even more scathing reviews. "Everyone left that workout disappointed with him," said one scout. "His footwork was bad, his hands were bad, even his countenance was bad. ... He didn't look like he wanted to be there." This won't ease concern that Wilson was a workout wonder at the Combine, running the fastest forty among linebackers. Mar. 17 - 10:24 am et

Is Wilson really worth the 32nd pick though? I feel like we could trade down a bit and still get him.

Draft an inside LB to move outside when the only option if it doesn't work is to move him back inside where you end up with a first round pick that won't play and your trying to get rid of a good player there already because there is no room.

Does anyone think this might be a HUGE risk with a first round pick?

I totally agree. But you can't argue against his potential/ceiling. With Hawk and Bishop locked up long term, it tough to justify the risk, though.
