Colledge is a loudmouth douche.

I have a feeling that you probably wouldn't be able to find many quotes from Colledge to back that up. Probably something or another, but not enough to really qualify that strong of a statement.

Can we include the off the hook comments from his wife? 😉

I've heard and seen plenty of Colledge interviews in the past five years for me to feel confident in saying that he is, in my opinion, a douche that talks a lot and doesn't have the skills to back up all that talk. That, again in my opinion, makes him a loudmouth douche. I don't like the way he plays and I don't like the way he carries himself and I don't like the way he talks. I don't need quotes to know how I feel about him. And I don't care if you agree with my opinion.

You DO need to be able to back something as strong as "loudmouth douche" up, if you want anyone to take your opinion seriously though. Just referring to "all that talk" without being able to produce any of it makes you look like the loudmouth douche instead of Colledge, whether you care or not.

Most people on this board can and will back their shit up. If you choose not to, that's on you.

Well, most people on this board have also seen enough of what he is talking about to either agree with him, or at least understand where hes coming from.

There's a difference between not "being able to produce" the the evidence to back up my opinion and just not wanting spend the time and energy to do it. I feel like the majority of people who've paid attention to him and watched his interviews over the last five years know what I'm talking about. If not wanting to find the evidence to back up my opinion on Colledge means you dismiss my opinion, so be it.

I always thought Lang would man LG and McDonald would take up C after Wells was done.

Yeah, whatever happened to McDonald playing C?
As for Colledge being a douche, alot of that is in regards to the comments he made, was it last year? It was reported by the Milwuakee media, iirc how pissed he was that they weren't giving him the contract he wanted. Something like that. Then he came out out and denied it. But his wife wrote some bullshit column for a Green Bay paper.
Anyway, far as I'm concerned if Lang can bounce back this offseason, he should be able to compate at G or T. Nice problem to have, as they say.

The way they talk about McDonalds potential and raw ability reminds me of how they used to talk about Sitton when he was a rookie.

(before you over-reactors get all gung-ho on me I am NOT saying McDonald is or will be as good as Sitton so STFU)

The McDonald situation kind of reminds me of Tramon Williams. We were all pretty shocked when he made the final 53 in 2007. By the end of the year, he was the nickel back and the rest was history.

He was definitely a developmental guy. Hopefully he pans out better than Barbre or Giacomini did.

Offensive line is the one area where I don't have a lot of confidence in this GM or coaching staff, so I'm not going to get excited about McDonald or any of these other young guys until they show something on the field.

I do think Colledge can be replaced if necessary. He is not the most likeable player, but "loudmouth douche" seems a bit strong to me. He's been publicly criticized a lot, and most players don't respond gracefully to that sort of thing, even when it is largely deserved.

Perhaps I should have been particular, saying that often he has come off as a loudmouth douche, rather than using a blanket statement and generalizing that he is a loudmouth douche
