There is no such thing as "job security" anymore. That died out years ago. When my Dad was alive, he worked at a company that was family owned and run. If there was a problem, you went upstairs and talked right to the guy who's name was on the company. They treated their employees like FAMILY. They had yearly picnics, Christmas parties, bonuses, all of it.
Now, almost all companies are owned by some other big company, and all you are is a number. Doesn't matter how many years or blood, sweat, and tears you put into it. They will just stab you in the back and throw you out the back door.
That's the world we live in today.
