He could even go back and apologize to Chmura, because if you think Favre was doing anything different than Chewy was at the time, you'd be mistaken.

On this whole topic, I really want to say, "Who cares?"

It'd be nice if they got along, but shit, it would be nice if everyone got along. Truth is, some people rub others the wrong way. You aren't FORCED to be friends with your co-workers. Sure, it can help in situations. So what is the big deal? Stupid article. Pointless premise. Move along. I'll be happy when I can read any article about either QB without the author feeling the need to bring up the other and this supposed "blood feud." Lazy journalism is all it is.

I thought it was Driver right away. And btw, there IS no guarantee Donald Driver will be back next year. Could be Tauscher too. Both were "Favre guys."
I also think Rodgers does use this whole "proving people wrong" thing a bit too much. He dropped in the draft. Everyone talked shit. Then the situation with Brett. It just seems like he holds onto it a bit much. But then, why shouldn't he? I don't fault him for that, per se.
Favre should start by apologizing to Ted Thompson for trying to dictate to Ted Thompson how he should do his job, who he should hire as coach, what personell he should acquire. He should then apologize to Mike McCarthy for undermining the coach, the offensive coordinator and trying to dictate what the offensive philosophy should be and what plays should be run.
He should then apologize to the entire franchise and fan base for spreading the playbook around to opposing teams. He was like a bitter 14 year old girl.

And you shouldnt toss out stuff like Chewy and say Brett did it too, w/o real proof...

Mind you Chewy was with high school girls..Not WOMEN which is what I think you were getting at

As Packer fans we have been blessed with 2 world class QB's back to back. We need to cherish this. I think it is time to let the Brett crap die and move foward. We need to put the number 4 in the ring of honor and retire his number. Time will let this happen but even some of the other great Packers in history left to play and coach for other teams...{aka Lombarbi... Reggie White etc.}
I think this is just another piece of garbage article trying to pump life into a never ending debate.

Please don't click on the link. This is irresponsible journalism at its worst. This guy is making shit up.

Brett & Aaron get along just fine. The Favres were rooting for the Packers and Brett said Aaron's the best QB in the NFL. Likewise, there is no bad blood for Brett from Aaron.

Brett never said Rodgers was best in NFL

It was a odd comment and I think misunderstood..I am under impression he was talking about the q/b left in playoffs Rodgers was the best one

In an e-mail response to ESPN's Ed Werder, Favre said Monday that the Packers are "by far" the best team left in the NFL playoffs.

"[Packers QB] Aaron [Rodgers] is the best QB and the receiving corps is the best ever, maybe," Favre said in the e-mail. "

I do believe there are no laws that state an offensive player can not communicate with a defensive player, especially one that was on PUP for a month an half after being pissed off he didn't get a long term deal. I could be mistaken, as I am often.

What I posited has nothing to do with team position and everything to do with who has ever appeared close enough with Favre to be having the kind of "chat" which would lead to these kinds of statements. Also, who says this is about creating a rift or is coming from a negative place at all? Maybe it's just words, stated matter-of-factly, and then buttered up for the paper? Gee, the media wouldn't ever do something like that, would they?!

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

I don't think Rodger's uses any other angle other than wanting to be great just to be great. It's the media that attempts to frame these stories of redemption, if you will. Rodger's has little control over that.

Some of the hype surrounding Favre is the same issue. Of course, he has done little in the past 5 years to stop it. Point being, Rodger's just wants to be a great QB, not to prove anyone wrong. He's already done that and did in his 1st year in my opinion. But of course the media will keep grasping for some dramatic story as to why he wants to be great.

Aaron Rodgers does like to prove people wrong. He's said it a few times. He uses that as motivation, a chip on his shoulder if you will. When he dropped to 24, he said he wanted to prove the Packers made a good choice, told Ted he wouldn't regret that pick and he'd do what he could to prove others should have taken him sooner.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to prove others wrong if it's in a positive way. It might not be healthy, but it's a lot how I've lived my life. No one has ever said i could do anything, other than fail miserably.
