Casey Matthews in the 5th. Wow nevermind, they are now projecting him to go early 3rd round. BCS championship sure raise his stock.

I really think the Packers need to hit the OL first and foremost. Grab a solid guy for the inside. If Colledge leaves, this is definitely a need. I think Lang takes over though, which would allow this rookie to get better (unless he is already better).

I keep going back and forth in my mind on whether or not we should keep Colledge. He's better than anything we have and draft picks are never locks. We have a winning line right now, why mess that up?

Don't forget about Nick McDonald. The coaching staff talk about him like they used to talk about Sitton.

I don't think there's no chance Pouncey will be there. I don't see a single team that would need him in the first round over some other prospect.

Its already been stated that the Steelers were going to try for him. So if by chance he does fall to 31, the Packers won't get him.

Would be awesome if the Packers can somehow get him.

I am with DakotaT on the Barnett idea. It would be nice to use him to jump in the 1st round to grab a lineman like Pouncey.

Pouncey would be a nice pick.. but there are a couple other choices in place of moving up to snag him.

Stefen Wisniewski C/G Penn State and Danny Watkins G Baylor come to mind early.

But want a mauler and a kid that will be out there 3/4th rounds.. John Moffitt from Wisconsin.. at 323 he is a load and decent player overall with maybe a few slight limitations. Yes.. that is a homer pick. :)

Personally I think the 2010 UW line could line up and hold its own in the Pros.

BTW.. calling my favorite sleeper pick.. Dion Lewis, RB Pitt.. kid is electric.

Wouldn't mind getting that rumoured 2nd round pick for Flynn from a team like Tennessee. Teams are starting to see Flynn as a starter and has had plenty to study behind one of the leagues best. Chances are he's gone to FA next year anyway and we would get nothing but maybe a 6-7th rd Comp pick.
I say trade him for a 2nd or high third and move up in the first for the BPA from the OLB, G/C, or CB positions. Then pick another 5-7th round QB like Flynn that they see groomable.
If Cassel gets 1st rd value last year, i'd think it's appropriate to put a late 2nd/early 3rd rd pick for Flynn.

That would be incredible, but I would be HIGHLY surprised if anyone gave up a 2nd or 3rd for Flynn. I guess we can keep our fingers crossed.

What are others opinions about what kind of value we may realistically get out of Flynn, if traded?

I thought it sounded a bit high too, but rotoworld thinks otherwise.

"The National Football Post's Dan Pompei confirms that "teams in need of a quarterback are taking a good look" at Green Bay's Matt Flynn.
The Packers reportedly believe he's ready to be a starter, but obviously he's not going to get that opportunity in Green Bay. Pompei thinks the Pack could fetch a second round pick for Flynn, but don't be surprised if they hold onto him for one more year after Aaron Rodgers suffered two concussions last season."

Some serious bait for a guy we are basically going to let walk away next year. Like the kid but it he gets a starting chance elsewhere I wish him the best. Plus a 5 round upgrade after only 3 years speaks pretty highly of our development of young players. no reason to think we can't do it again with another late rd pick.

If we are able to get a 2nd round pick out of Flynn, we should do it in a heartbeat, especially if it's the Titans. They have the 8th overall pick, so their second would be the 40th overall pick. We can continue to groom Harrell as our backup and pick up a decent veteran or draft another late round guy for next season. I suppose it's a bit of a risk in the event of Rodger's missing a game or two, but surely we could find someone good enough to fill in for a game or two if needed.

However, I've seen a few mock drafts  that have the Titans taking a QB 8th overall (Blaine Gabbert). If that's the case, I doubt they would be trading their 2nd for Flynn.

Regardless, if we can get a high 2nd round draft pick for Flynn, I think it's an easy decision.
