Honestly, I can't really remember what I have said about McCarthy but I'm pretty sure that I have always backed him. I can definitively say that I never wanted him fired. But who cares what I said? We all fly off the hook sometimes, some of us more than others. The people that were calling for his head should not be chastised for it. I sincerely doubt they were doing it because they thought it would be better for our team and that he actually was a horrible coach, they were doing it because this is a message board, and it is therapeutic to them. They got it out of their systems, and when McCarthy started winning, they forgot they even said it and went on chanting "Coach of the Year!!!"

The point is, let's stop wasting time pointing fingers at each other and appreciate the Super Bowl win together, instead of using it as ammo to show somebody else as being wrong.

I haven't always been a rah rah McCarthy fan. And I'm not going to apologize for it, any more than I'm going to apologize or recant my deadhorsing of "Ted Thompson's front office has at best a mediocre record at assessing OL talent."

Sounds like you need some more North Dakota love nectar to go with those sour grapes. My criticism of McCarthey is not stepping on necks when the opportunity is there. The hell with being a good sport, all these teams are professionals. I can't stand losing to inferior teams like Miami and Washington this year.
