During earlier posts discussing next year's llikely to be departed, I had stated a preference for keeping Hawk and Bishop over Barnett, because they have played well together and Barnett is older/more injury prone. Barnett's just making the decision easier and easier for Ted and Mike.

If Barnett wanted to do the right thing right now he could.

He would state that he has decided to STAY HOME and continue his Rehab at home and that he will see the team when they get back to Green Bay for the victory celebrations.

I would love for MM to just simply tell him to not come down, but that would only escalate the situation, and I am sure he does have close friends on the starting roster who would be upset about that.

If he truly is a team player... he will remove himself from Dallas and join the team back in Green Bay.

Hell... Every reporter in that media feeding frenzy is going to be following him around looking to get him to throw up some more vile.

Just stay home Nick.

I think TT, MM and the entire Packers organization felt the same way, which is why they tried to exclude the IR players from the team photo. I don't think they want Barnett and Finley down in Dallas for an entire week with nothing to do but party and talk to the media. Nothing good can come from it.

I'm surprised so many are getting upset at Barnett. Granted he contributed to making this picture issue bigger than it needed to be, but I don't think Barnett deserves all the blame.

Rodgers was asked about the team missing the players on IR. He responded by talking about the photo issue that arose.

WTF? Really, I know Aaron is a leader on this team but come on. Aaron knows better than to go back to drama surrounding that event.

Aaron stated in an article that he just does not act on whims, but rather there is thought behind what he says and does. I doubt, for that reason, that Aaron simply spoke out without thinking. Which makes him speaking out all the more stupid, because he could have easily addressed this issue by speaking to Barnett / Finley privately. Obviously he did not like them being away from the team, but surely telling them this rather than stating it in front of the media.... was not the best direction that could be taken.

Barnett responded to being called out. How would you want him to respond? To sit back and say "yeah, man, I quit on my team"? The response itself stemmed from Rodgers comments... which should not have been made at all. Especially considering that he was not even asked about the photo issue.

According to Jason Wilde on twitter, the question Jessie Garcia asked was:

"Aaron, do you feel for the IR guys, and Im not talking about the photo thing, do you feel bad that they arent able to take part in this?"

She specifically mentions she is not talking about the photo issue. This is the question to which Rodgers gave his reply....

Don't see where he is asked about the photo issue.....

I just hope that Finley stays quiet and can stay in Green Bay for the rest of his career. He has the potential to go down as the best TE in history.

From what I read, Rodgers said nothing about the team photo. He was just talking about the players, not the photo.

This is all shit that should have gone down behind closed doors. Twitter screwed it up. It shouldn't be an issue moving forward and I'm sure players will move on from such a stupid controversy. Blown up stories because of Super Bowl week.
