All I can say is...anyone but the Triplette crew.

No kidding. I don't trust Ed Hochuli anymore either. I think it went to his head when everyone started complimenting him on his muscles and the fact that he's a lawyer.

I don't recall any bad calls against the Packers in that 18 penalty game. They deserved what they got. If they keep playing the way they've been playing lately, I don't think the officiating crew will be a factor.

I don't like this at all. Seems Terry has it out for the Packers. Every game I can remember him officiating we have some bad calls go our way. First game that comes to mind is the Dallas game in 07. Immediately Al Harris wrestles the ball away from TO which should have been a turnover for Dallas, but he called it incomplete. Completely changed that game IMO.

WRONG. John Parry was the ref at the Dallas game...Terry ref the NFCCG against the Giants...

Good thing is that Terry's crew wont be there, just him. Refs are chosen through out the playoffs individually as determined by the NFL. So he's working with an allstar team

via Aaron Nagler on Twitter:
Terry McAuley's crew is calling the NFC Championship. Yes, the same Terry McAuley who flagged the Pack 18 times in Week 3.

.....thoughts?

Not Terry's crew, but Terry will be there officiating with other "high" rated officials.

Mike and Mike mentioned this and I agree. Everyone knows about the 18 penalty game, so if it happens again, Terry McAuley will have a helluva microscope on his ass, especially since the Packers have played fairly penalty free the last half of the season. I have nothing to back that up, it's a thought and I haven't noticed many. I believe we've had 8 our last 2 games.

This is just another aspect of this game depending a great deap on the O-line. They have to be better.

Watch for Bulaga and Clifton to switch off which end they are on,
how the Bears counter that,
and how the Packers shift the protection
how Rodgers reads it and adjusts
then the Bears counter adjustments.

The O-line must have a great game!!

someone mentioned last year when we played AZ and how I remember seeing fitz push or trip woodson so he could make the play ... IMO thought that was a bit biased then; woodson got called on his stuff and fitz well ... he's fitz ya?

pay back time now ... this year we take the crown

- oh btw if my post sounds presumptuous it is because its supposed to sound that way ... 'we are done with 8 quarters so far and we have 8 more to go'

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
