I just started watching the NFL replay of the Falcons game. One of the things that makes me feel great about this week's game is something that has happened plenty of times this season.

Step 1) The opposing defense has shown us a new look and is able to get some pretty good pressure.

Step 2) It doesn't last for more than a couple series.

Concurrent step 1) Opposing offense begins to set the tempo, pick up yardage, and possibly even scores.

Concurrent step 2) It doesn't last for more than a couple series.

What I like is that after we have given up what could be a disasterous TD in both playoff games the Packers marched right down the field and scored a TD in response.

Rodgers fumbled to start the second half in the Philly game and they took it in to make the game 14-10. The fans were pumped and this was a point in the game where it could have easily turned to the Eagles. Rodgers takes the Pack right down the field on a long drive and it's 21-10 and the Eagles fans were never really a factor after that and the momentum switch was short lived.

In the Atlanta game we score to tie the game at 7-7 and Atlanta takes the KO back for a TD. The fans are going crazy and once again this was a critical point in the game where the home team could start to dominate. GB and Rodgers goes all the way down the field on the next possession and and we tie the score. From there the Packers never look back.

These may have been two of the best drives this team made all year in big games when they needed it the most. They answered right when it was critical that they did.

I also think these two drives are huge for the Packer offense in terms of the confidence they have now and that carries over to Chicago.

That is a great testimony to Rodgers' short term memory. Not the same type that Cutler has that the announcers always comment on, where he throws an INT and comes back out firing again. No, Rodgers' has the type that what happened doesn't affect him in a negative light. Also, when Rodgers throws INT's, he learns from them, and fixes what is broken.

One thing that I still worry about -- and I realize that this probably belongs in a different topic but I'm too lazy to start it up -- is if Matthews has taken steroids. He went from 6'1'' and 165 to 6'3'' and 255. Quite the transformation. And not many people continue to get taller after high school.... Just makes me nervous.
