I have no legitimate statistical proof, however, I have noticed a pattern about Packer game results and how I choose to witness the games. Whenever I host a Packer party, the Packers lose. I think I am about 0-6 now specifically on parties that I've hosted. This same trend stays true for my attending other parties and even attending games. With those numbers, it goes to like 0-12. Something like the Vikings in or near the big game. Hell the year that I was alive and the Pack did win it, I was overseas, and had the catch the game on video tape 9 hours later.

It seems that things always work out better, when I catch the game later in the day. DVR helps this as I love to start watching the game about 1 hour in and then fast forward through the commercials.

So back to the point. I was resisting the urge to host a party for Saturday's game to help ensure a win. That urge took over about 15 minutes ago. So, if the Packers don't win, I take full responsibility. The only hope at this point is that either my superstition is just that, or all of my Packer friends are aware of this trend and don't attend for the Packer's benefit. So if it all goes to hell, you can blame me.

What game day related supersititions do you have? Mine is that I think the Pack plays better when I watch them later. While, I'm at it, DVR has spoiled the patience right out of me, and for this party we will be watching live so I am concerned about having to watch a whole game without being able to fast forward through commercials.

Wife has to sit on recliner and me on small couch..

with in leaving that recliner Philly recovered a fumble and scored a TD

IIRC I had her move back and the Pack got that TD on the screen

When I've worn my Greg Jennings home jersey, the Packers have never lost.

I wore Charles Woodson away last weekend.

I used to play the game on Madden before hand thinking that was a good luck 'charm', lol.

The things that I wear have a direct impact on the game. I have never watched a game and not worn a Packer shirt, dating back to their last Super Bowl victory. On that day I wore my brand new, first ever, Packer shirt for the first time. Yes, I still have it. Yes, it's still in the rotation. If I, one time, don't wear a Packer shirt, there's a highly likely chance the stadium will get nuked during the game.

Still, sometimes I choose the right shirt and sometimes I choose the wrong one. If things aren't going well, I'll change it. This most often happens during halftime, after several unanswered scores by the opponent, or after we've come out on the losing end of a particularly painful challenge.

The Packers thwarted by playoff superstition this year. Last year I went to my daughters dancing performance instead of watching the first half of the Packer game, and we saw what happened. I did the same thing this year and was really worried, but that superstition is now over.

If you are given a choice of watching your daughter dance and watching the Packers play - a reasonable man will pick his daughter because the psycho mother that lives vicariously through her daughter will hold it against you the next time you want to go to the bar with your buddies.

Kiss my ass - I know I'm a pussy! You just don't know how mean that woman gets. My Julie is a lot like our Julie (4packgirl).

Our Julie would have a friend videotape the dance performance so she could watch the game!

No superstitions for me whatsoever. I do/wear/eat/say whatever strikes me on game day. Like I said before, I think the Pack will win because they are the better team on that day. Or not.

Mucky Tundra (28-May) : Cooper stock=BUY BUY BUY
