Listened to Denver's The Fan today and they were talking about Jay Cutler.
Alfred Williams, former Bronco, says it was the wrong move in trading Jay Cutler and that their offense was set, they just needed their defense drastically improved.
Al is wrong.
The Chicago Bears acquired disgruntled Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler in a trade on Thursday afternoon, giving up quarterback Kyle Orton and first-round picks in 2009 (18th overall) and 2010, along with a third-round pick (84th overall) in 2009 to do it.
To complete the trade, the Broncos had to give back a fifth-round pick (140th overall) in 2009.

What they did with those picks is beyond foolish. That 3rd rounder was sent to Steelers who picked Mike Wallace, example one of their stupidity.
The trade was GOOD for the Bronco's. Orton doesn't have the arm, but he is a good game manager and with those extra picks, they should have been able to get some good quality players in there.
They didn't, THAT is why the trade didn't help the Bronco's.
Trading Cutler in for Orton, 50/50, although I've liked Orton and think he's an above average QB, slightly. Cutler I think will cost you more games than he'll keep you in.
