1. They got the ball with about four minutes left. With Rodgers, if they scored, they probably would've scored with a minute or two left. Then the other team would've come back and beaten us.

2. The Packers are a better-than-average team most years, so when they win, it's seldom that big of an upset. Their road win against the Jets this year, when the Jets were playing better than anyone, was only a slight upset. The New England game was an upset opportunity only because Rodgers wasn't starting.

3. I think they would've played better with Rodgers because he's better than Flynn. The O-line was due for a wake-up call after how they played in Detroit, regardless of who was the QB.

4. I don't know.

5. Bad luck.

6. You don't draft a return man in the first round. The Dolphins did with Ted Ginn a few years ago, and it didn't work out.

7. No. Pro football is a perplexing game, isn't it? Maybe that's what keeps us coming back for more.

Why are people so obsessed with having awesome return guys. It really doesn't make a huge difference. Return TDs are so rare it isn't really worth sacrificing much to try and get a guy who will likely just get you 3 or 4 more yards per return on average.

Well it would be more productive to have a return guy that catches the ball and runs straight up the field instead of watching one of your starting corners run in circles like he is at a high school dance, meanwhile, gaining no yardagea and risking injury. We need a better returner period.

Check out our starting field position stats. If we can win that battle, we will win 2+ more games a year and be a lock for the play offs regularly. Field position matters.

tell that to Philadelphia. Isn't it somewhat ironic that a punt return may well put us in the post season although I hope the Bears get beat tonight and we still have a shot at the North.

I've got one question though. Why is it that the Bears always seem to get teams having to start their 3rd string QB? Talk about being handed a Division Title.

it would be a shame if they get it because they will get bounced like a hard rubber ball the first time they see a QB that has actually started a few games.

Your looking at it completely wrong, we're not looking a guy that's going to return a TD. Just a guy that could get us better field position on important situations.

The question of the season:

12. Why do the Packers start playing scared (e.g., abandoning the run game) if they're even 3 points down and start playing lax (e.g., playing 15 yards off the WRs) if they're even 3 points up?

The difference between our guys and someone "good" is only a few yards on average. That's my point, it's not worth wasting a high draft or a lot of money on.

Ya I know what your saying we had to play against detroits 2nd string qb the first time and we won and then played against their 3rd stringer and lost. plus we got Mcnaab which is now 3rd string, Kolb who is 2nd string, Kitna who is 2nd string, 49ers backup. So ya damn the Bears always get the breaks when it comes to qbs.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

1- Why doesn't Aaron Rodgers ever get a chance to end games like this, it usually always the opposing team that ends up scoring with leaving twenty seconds left.

2- Why can't we ever upset teams like these? We always end up losing to an upset team once in a while, but it never happens for us to win an upset game.

3- Would the Packers have played as good if Aaron Rodgers was in?

4- Why did Mike McCarthy go 3 and out with 3 passes right after Patriots scored and we still had the lead?

*** 5 *** - Why in the hell is all our team injured??? Specially all the key players !!!

Grant - Finley - Burnett - Barnett - Poppinga - Jenkins - Chillar etc...

6- Can we use our 1st pick this year to draft a special teams KR / PR please for the love of god?

7- Am I the only one that wonders about these questions?

1. Combination of things if you ask me. First of all, with Rodgers at the helm, we always score too fast, it seems. I like what we did now, going with the 4 minute drill. With Rodgers, we're bound to throw a deep ball some time with as much as 3 minutes on the clock.

The Panthers game in 2008 is the most obvious of these instances.

Another thing is that we're always content with throwing the ball ove the middle. It happend this time, as well. When the defense guards the sidelines, we just throw the slant over the middle to Driver.

And then, which is somewhat tied to that, we never actually seem to be organized on those 2 minute drills to win the game. Whether the guys don't get to the line, there's no play call in, the receivers aren't lined up right etc.

2. Yeah, it sure seems like that. I think it has a lot to do with the homerism around here. Or around any fanbase, really. Remember those games against the Cowboys and the Ravens? I think those were upset games, looking at how those two teams were playing at that point.

3. As good? That's quite likely. That Patriots defense is very overrated. It's the offense you have to be scared about. I think that we would've played differently, but just as good.

4. We didn't pass a lot on 1st down. Trying it once to catch them off guard sounds like a good idea. That puts us in 2nd and 10. When you have to go 10 yards on 2nd down, a pass is justifiable easily. Then we end up on 3rd and 10, which is an obvious passing situation.

I also liked the vote of confidence in Flynn there.

5. I don't know, but I do know that that is TT's fault somehow.

6. Yes. That sounds like a great idea. Maybe we can draft a longsnapper in the 2nd and a gunner in the 3rd.

My knee jerk reaction is to point a finger at the Strength and Conditioning Coaches (Lovat, Redding, and Jackson), because is it honestly possible to see guys drop like flies as they have unless there were some sort of variable that is missing? If I were a betting man, I would say that some S&C coaches could have avoided such casualties. However, I would also say that bad luck played an enormous part in the Shit Sandwich we have been dealt this season, given the amount of quality players that have gone down instead of somebody like Francois (which in turn would have counted for 1 less loss 🙂 ).
