Dayum, that looks tougher than ours.

I agree with Porky on seemingly every one of his posts that I happen to read. With this particular post, I feel that he offers a great deal of levity to a conversation offers some much needed insight and calm wisdom. His words here will no doubt calm the general attitude held by the consensus of PackersHome's illustrious group of contributors (and non-contributors like that dickwad peteralan71 who choose to only post something as witless as +1). For his contributions I am awarding Porky88 with a plus one to his applause count and I'm mentioning it here because I'd like him to know that I appreciate what he's contributed, and am hoping that he continues to contribute such wisdom and general football knowledge to our discussions for years to come.

Well, shit, I guess I can't do that.

Regarding porky88, he is a great poster with great comments matched by very few on this site, that is definite. He knows his stuff.

Three divisional road games, and home games against arguably the two best teams in the league. It will be tough for the Bears, although like us, their "easiest" remaining game is the one next week.

That's all you can fucking say? Really fucking awesome contribution.

I wanted three FUCKING's so this is where the third has to be. :)

I believe the +1 portrays my mirroring of porky88's points. Also, the discussion that you and I had in Fan Shout last night mirrored it. I doubt you have forgotten that. It should be obvious that my +1 was sufficient in saying that I agree with everything he said.

I've seen it about 10 times now, and I get repeatedly upset when watching the Gonzales TD where Collins just watches him cut in and catch the ball. Completely blown coverage and no attempt to rectify it. Reminds me of last year against the Vikings when Al Harris had a blown coverage that resulted in a TD, and was throwing his arms up while the ball was still in the air. Giving up on plays cannot happen.

All I learned yesterday is that Atlanta has no vertical game. I was amazed halftime adjustments were not made to take away the underneath. Their offensive line is too good to blitz so you make them throw short and do a better job tackling next time.

Our offense screwed the pooch again in the red zone. I have a real problem with play selection down there. Also Brandon Jackson should be 3rd down back only. Play the kid we stole from Atlanta's practice squad. If Clifton and Colledge could ever run block we couldn't be stopped.

We have now lost 4 games by 12 points total, 3 of which we got screwed by refs and this last one, we stepped on our own dicks. I feel good about our chances with our without Finley and Grant.

Dakota - I'd feel better with Finley as twice we were stopped at 4th and 1 and once we fumbled on their 1 yard line. Finley would be da bomb for 1 yard completions. I think if we're missing anyone, it's him.

Finley was clutch in any 3rd down situation. We definitely miss him for the conversions. Some argue that it was a good thing when he went down because it forced Rodgers to look at all the receivers, and I agreed, but all in all we would be better with him in the lineup, without a doubt.

We suck at third and short because McCarthey insists on smash mouth but we have 2 lineman with TNS (tiny nut syndrome). Just throw the damn ball.

+1 to Dakota.

The more we throw, the more points we score. The more we run, the more we punt.

Points > punting.

Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔

Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : Sure does feel like site is more snappy
Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : I thought that was the Lions OL
Mucky Tundra (6-Aug) : Travis Glover placed on IR; seasons over for him
Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : found bad sql in database, maybe site faster now?
dfosterf (5-Aug) : I'm going to call that a good move.
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Packers sign CB Corey Ballentine
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : I'm not sure how to kill the draft order just yet so it's not so confusing.
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : *to be able
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
