Packers release Montgomery

The Green Bay Packers have released DE Michael Montgomery. The transaction was announced Tuesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Montgomery, a sixth-round draft pick by the Packers in 2005 who re-signed with the team on Oct. 15, appeared in two games for Green Bay this season.

Does this mean we're activating one of the PUP guys?

My guess is Al Harris.

Is Harris healthy? I haven't read or heard anything about Al in long time.

As much as I want Merriman, 5-3 might not be enough. Let's hope he has no market.

I'm pretty sure if we claimed Moss and actually got him, I'd cry (out of happiness).

I'll say it's more likely the Packers are thinking about activating Bigby since he can also double as a Special Teams player.
