Jackson doesn't look any different than the first couple weeks, IMO.. still dancing and looking for yards.

What has changed is how Mike McCarthy is using him and the play calling differences.. running out of non traditional running sets.. taking advantage of the defenses inkling of pass first.. this is the balance I have been barking about. It allows the runs to be more effective and forcing the defense to respect the run out of passing sets.. helping the protection.

We aren't a smash mouth type of running team at this point with an undersized center and a left guard the lacks bulk to move people around.. but we are a team that should be able to screen, draw or run pulling plays to run out of those spread sets.

We had mistakes last night.. but Mike McCarthy IMO coached one of his better games last night.

last night - 35 passes, 23 rushes (13 to Jackson)
loss to Miami a week earlier - 33 passes, 21 rushes (12 to Jackson)

Love how it's just about the same, but since we lost to the Dolphins, everyone and their Grandma is calling for Mike McCarthy's head. Now we have pretty much the same ratio of passes and runs and we win a game and everyone's patting Mike McCarthy on the back.

The runs were better dispersed, and the actual plays were better, not all shortgun delays. Also the number itself is decieving because 3 or 4 runs in prior weeks was Rodgers audibles. I don't recall one audible run sunday night.

Had they not thrown Kuhn in and Let Jackson carry the load, it would have been better.

Kuhn was a big hero in the Lions game. Remember how he finished off the Lions in that final drive of the game? I think that's why Kuhn got so many carries.

Well unfortunately, his play that game seems more like an aberration as he hasn't been impressive since.

So hopefully Jackson will get more of Kuhn's carries. I hope we continue to throw more screens to Jackson like we did yesterday. He looked good in our screens.

I like what Cliff Christl and Eric Baranczyk wrote about Brandon Jackson in the G.B. Press Gazette after the game: "Jackson is like a bad beer. The more you drink it, the more you like it. Hes getting better at picking holes, and hes making guys miss."

Also seemed like they showed up for a full 60 this week. First time all season. Be nice if that would continue.

4.56 Yards per carry Brandon Jackson is averaging in the last three games if you take away the 71-yard run he had against Washington.
