Or more specifically the fact that they have obviously lost the trust of Rodgers. This is just my opinion but it looks like Rodgers simply does not trust the line enough to stand there and go through his progressions before he tries to buy more time with his feet. I also believe this all started with the way Clifton and Tauscher kicked off the season vs Philly.

I think if Rodgers trusted the line more he would stand in the pocket and make more accurate throws to the open guy instead of whoever the designated #1 on the play is. As it stands he seems too busy having to watch his own back.

Yep. Plain and simple, they suck. They have sucked since what, '07? Horrible! How have we not fixed this? Long run looks decent with TJ and Bully but still short term we have a great team and those great fixes of Tauscher and Clifton backed us up rather than helped. It's pathetic how little we protect Aaron.

No one has lost trust anywhere idk what your talking about. And remember its not just are offensive line its the whole offense no one has lost trust if they didn't trust they would not block at all.We need to execute man don't blame it on one position group.

I want to see some positive threads but none has come instead of saying whats bad on are team or having doubt in them lets make a better thread its really annoying seeing so many of these don't get me wrong man you make some good points but lots of negativity for are team has come and it needs to stop.

It may also be one of the reasons why Jennings has been silent through the first part of this season. Cover 2/lack of running threat has a lot to do with it, but Aaron Rodgers not holding in the pocket long enough may be another reason. Nagler does a pretty good job explaining this:

That's exactly what I'm talking about, the tackles started the season off getting blown up off the ball and Rodgers doesn't trust them to hold their blocks long enough for him to read the field anymore.

I do think Aaron has lost the trust of the OL and I see Aaron as being jittery and quick to leave the pocket.

Play to your strengths. Cover up your weaknesses.

Our D has shown that it can stop drives. We don't have to score every drive like we did in 2008. What we really should be doing is eating some clock and giving our D a chance to rest. And, more importantly, get the ball off quickly.

I said in my YAC thread what we need to do. Let's get the short passing game going again. Let's let our WR's get some YAC. It's our forte. It's our bread and butter.

Let's also throw some screens to Brandon Jackson as he's a good screen guy. Screens are your answer to a nasty pass rush.

The line is part of the problem.. but the problem is deeper IMO.

You have a team that telegraphs the play well ahead of the snap.. by sets. Although we seen some adjustments last week to that. When we run.. it is very clear that we are going to run, by set. Two backs.. Tight end heavy to the run side.. sometimes set, sometimes motions in.

Then we go to spread sets.. and they know we are going to pass...

This gives the pass rush the advantage, they can jump the snap and apply even more pressure to our aging tackles and they can set up the blitzes without much concern of the run.. draw or run from those sets to pause that pass rush and give the DC a thing or two to worry about in his blitz calls.

What else are the defenses doing.. watch Orakpo from Sunday.. they line up wide to put even more pressure on the tackles to get out of the stance, get deeper and more often than not; because they are aging and can't move their feet well enough then reach, put them in poor leverage positions.. making the rushers job easier as well. An occasional draw or run from those sets would help that as well.. forcing them to respect the defensive gaps and pull them in.. or watch us run up that split all day long. Doubt that.. watch the more athletic Bulaga handle that drop effectively verse Clifton.

We have tackles outside that are aging (starters), we have a left guard that at times has a loss of focus.. why give the defense any advantage over something we control.. play calling.

I have yipped about this for weeks.. we need not become a 50/50 club in run verse pass.. but we need to have it called enough to help balance it up some and assist our offensive line out. It is the art of when and out of similar sets that, in my opinion, is lacking.

The games within the games, utilizing your playcalling on offense to assist your weaknesses on a club.
