I had the opportunity to attend the Skins game and sit 10 rows up from the sidelines.
Observations:

Matthews - when he is out the defense and the defense plays like a JV squad. They can hold it together but only for so long.

Dline - little depth, if any. Pickett going down, it looked like we did not know who we were going to put in each rotation.

Oline - Adequate at times, other times they looked horrible.

Rodgers - one word "Favre-isque" Never really saw it before, but in person, they guy had lanes on most of his sacks to take off, but chose not too and was looking to thread the needle. The interception was TERRIBLE. Trying to make something work that was not there. Safety over the top and 2 Skins in zone in front of the receiver. Terrible.

One word Peprah. If this is the best we can do, WE SUCK. This guy is terrible. Let's see the TD was his, the long route by Armstrong was his, the long out in OT was his and yes, the Holding call was his. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE.

Special teams - LOST!! The portion has no identity. When I see 4 different returners in one game, issue. when I still see a punt team kicking to a legitimate returner that can take it to the house, issue.

This teams has alot of issues besides injuries and we will have a few more losses coming our way with this play.

TV doesn't make us look as bad as what we are, but WOW, we are not very good!!!

I actually didn't mind Peprah's play. He took some terrible angles, but that's about what we'll get when Atari Bigby is back.

D-Line managed pretty well without Pickett. I feared a Washington offense that would have success running on Green Bay after that. But they didn't. At least they held their own.

It's like night and day when Matthews is on the field. He's this team's current MVP IMO.

It seemed like when Clay left, the rest of our defense caved at the confidence the Redskins gained when they didn't have to worry about Clay anymore.

Peprah didn't do terrible. I think he was screwed on the TD. play outside and they throw inside, play inside and the WR goes outside. I think he played the way he was suppose to. He can't be expected to cover 3/4 of the deep field. Collins should have been there to help also.

Neal played well for Pickett. What hurt the Dline was losing Matthews. Can't double Raji,Jenkins and Matthews but you can double any two of them.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

You're right. It's impossible to win a Super Bowl with backups. The 1999 Rams and the 2001 Patriots are proof of that.

I believe during the game 4 Packers starters left with injuries and did not return.

-Finley
-Pickett
-Matthews

Who was the 4th?

Painful loss for sure, but too early to throw in the towel. Consider that not all of our injuries will necessarily carry into next week. The season is still young and we have a chance at turning things for the better.

Aside from injuries I saw mediocre (at best) special teams, unforgivable penalties, and poor play calling at times.

With a running game that was rather successful, why not continue to keep the ball on the ground a bit more to open up the secondary? A team can only go so far with passing, even as good as we are with the air attack.

Crosby up to this point has been impressive, but it seems he misses when they need him the most. Not early enough to panic but still concerns fans. When you need every point, your kicker HAS to make his FGs!

I am not giving up on this team, but changes have to be made or this season will be a disaster. We need a running game to keep our airial assault successful, and need to shake this injury bug! Keep in mind our start last year, and what the later part of the season brought - this is enough for me to have hope.

Totally disagree. what you didn't see is collins faded to his right to cover the deep out there was no one to the deep left, SO YES it was Peprah TD. I don't care if he played out side or inside, Woodson has the short read and Peprah let Armstrong run right by him. how do you let a man run right by you when you are the last man on your side????? Clueless. Face it Burnett was a savior and these guys suck behind him.

And there is no giving up on this team, but chances are slim winning with back-ups across the board. 3 different returners throughout a game proves we have no one. Oline is too speratic on the pass block and defense is running on fumes.

TV hides the major mistakes, please attend a game then comment.
