I think we need to get a little more realistic, and I havent talked to the team yet. Ill touch on this when I get in there, but we came in the locker room, we always pray when we come back in, and usually there is some excitement. You would have thought we lost in the locker room, and I think that is unrealistic and we need to get in touch with reality.

I was going to quote the same thing.. I think we all could stand some realism in the fact that we thought we should have blown out the Lions..

To the same effect.. I hope Mike McCarthy doesn't think there aren't issues to fix upon this team and becomes happy with "just" the W. Edit.. just read the rest of his comments.. that seems to be a non issue as well..

The thread is called "Team's Mentality".Now I don't think anyone has lost faith in this team. They just have to play like they should play thats the problem,Look every team is not perfect and every team has ups and downs and if you think about it a lot of teams have problems early in the season and good teams fix what is wrong. Now bad teams have problems early and what makes them bad is they don't fix the problems later.Last year is a perfect example of it we started 4-4 and after that we won 7 straight(if im right)so what killed us early in the season was the oline now we gave up like 40 or 41 sacks the first 8 or 9 games then the last of the games we gave up 9.Now lets look at what we have to fix mainly it is the running game and ST lets see if this team can overcome these injures and win some games. We are 3-1 we were 2-2 after week 4 last year does this mean something or nothing idk but it looks like we can do this.I have faith in this team as long as we got # 12 back there we got a chance.

I saw the hit on the replay on the Jumbotron; he hit my arm and it popped right out, I might have been carrying it too low. We always talk high and tight, and I might have had it down too low where he was able to hit it.

This pisses me off too. My mother can never say she has made a mistake or genuinely apologize EVER. So it could be a character flaw. I agree with the poor mentality of the team. They need to come to terms with all their mistakes and move forward as a team. The coaches need to foster a team environment where players can admit their mistakes free from judgment. Until these mistakes are addressed, the team cannot move forward.

Personally I think this is a semantic issue. I'm not all that concerned with the use of "might." I'm aware of what it means definitionally. The way he used it, in context, isn't troublesome to me.

For instance. Let's say I lose my temper in an argument. Afterwords I realize my fault. I say: "I might have gone overboard there."

The use of "might" there implies guilt, rather than implying the possibility that I may or may not have lost my temper.

Semantics.

Wow, you really didn't read a damn thing I said, did you?

Jordy's comments alone are not bother some. It's the collection that I've heard through out he young season. I feel more comments are sliding blame off their shoulders than should be.

I did like reading that Mike McCarthy thought we lost the game by the attitude in the locker room after the game, because many players were upset. That's what I want to hear. Because to me, that says 'hey we know were better than this and we need to be better than this'.

I fully believe the Packers are one of the most talented teams in the league right now, but if they can't work together and dominate the teams we 'should', then we'll have a tough time in the playoffs.

"Zero2Cool" wrote:

Edit, I should add in fairness to my point, it's hard to get 'up' for a team like the Bills or Lions compared to say a former playoff team of the prior year. I just find some of the comments from ALL of the players and coaches a little concerning. They seem a little nonchalant about making mistakes and also don't seem to take accountability.
