Seemed like he was repaying gambling debts out there. Just an ugly, ugly self destruction. You can't allow guys to stay in the game if they are contributing to that.

All things being equal, I agree with you.

Unfortunately with Grants injury and a lack of second option on KRs, I do not think it would have been wise to put in B-Jack or Greg as the Kick Returner.

B-Jack goes down, then your most experienced RB is FB John Kuhn. Scary thought.

Jennings goes down, then outside of Finley you have no real deep threat. That could become a major issue: a pass-heavy team losing its best playmaking WR on offense.

If you don't understand McCarthy's style of coaching yet, then you probably never will. He's not one to bench players, so he can be a tough guy at the press conference after the game.

He has full confidence in his players. He believes they'll block the kick or the player can make a play at a later point in the game. That's just who he is. My guess is he has complete confidence in Jordy Nelson.

At one time, Packer fans applauded that type of confidence. You know, the throw an INT and then come back and throw a touchdown on next drive mentality.

That's kind of what McCarthy does with his players. You can disagree with it and I kind of do myself, but that's what he does.

He has never held players accountable in the past, so at this point in MM's career, I don't think benching Jordy would have accomplished anything.

Its like trying to discipline your kid, after years of letting him get away with stuff. It doesn't work that way. You have to be consistant from the start.

Besides what other serious KR do the Packer's have?

Did you not watch Shields return kicks in the preseason? Guy has hands like rocks covered in baby oil. Sam Shields couldn't catch a cold.

While I am not crazy about Nelson returning kickoffs, I don't see any good options instead of him. Any alternatives would put our big play makers at risk of injury. On the other hand, we really could use some better returns to give our offense less green to cover.

Not to put all the blame on the return guys, but Nelson dropped a couple that put the outcome of the game in jeopardy. If we can get someone with good hands, and get some good blocking we are golden.

As of the last couple of years, I remember how good our special teams were in the mid 90's. It saddens me when they play those classic games, and seeing what we have now.

Has Nelson ever dropped KR before?
