The refs are part of the game. We've got to plan to beat the team, the crowd and the refs. This is not new. Play clean football for F sake.

I have a few gripes.

1. The intentional grounding call on Rodgers. I honestly just never see this called in that particular situation. There was little pressure, and his throw was about 20 yards downfield. They ignored the same call on Cutler in the 2nd quarter. So then we have 2nd and 20, and Jones fumbles trying to make something happen.

2. Chillar's phantom PI call. Olsen still made the catch, so it didn't matter, but I'm really curious what TWO refs saw to eagerly throw their flags on the field.

3. Morgan Burnett's PI call:

Tell me where in that clip a) Burnett initiates contact, and b) Bennett even remotely tries to go for the ball. If I were GB's coaches I would tell Burnett to keep playing it the same way. Again, the refs were EAGER to throw the flag. Three flags came in immediately, on a very questionable call. Three.

I agree with all three of these points. Especially when Cutler pretty much threw the ball to the ground practically right at his feet. I thought even if you were outside the tackle box that you still had to at least make it to the line of scrimmage.

I only had a problem with the call on Zombo. I have seen Rodgers hit exactly like that several times and never call. Zombo had his head up and didn't drop his chin. He was not hitting with the top of his helmet. I don't like it when Rodgers gets hit like that, but they never flag it. They did for Zombo.

I thought MM should send video from the Playoff game last year when Rodgers took one of those hits and a copy of this one. Tell me, which Ref screwed up.

The Bears didn't get any penalties and they played just as bad. Late hits, holding, face-masking. No calls. That is my beef.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

Last year. Bears hit Rodgers twice like Zombo hit Cutler. Neither were called.

It happens. Sometimes we get them, sometimes we don't. Against the Bears, we seem to lose out. I'm sure it evens out against another team.

It seems like the NFL refs are so swayed by the hometown audience and thrive for that adrenaline rush where they play hero for 15 seconds calling a penalty on the opposing team. That's just my take. They are way too influenced by the crowd.

Biggest problem i had with the refs was the holding calls, some of them didnt influence the outcome of the play and was minor. If the refs wanted to they could call holding on every single play in the nfl, so why call the minor holding when it doesnt influence the outcome of the play.
Or atleast call them both ways, i saw a few we got away with, but i also saw a ton they got away with.

Oh yeah, and the PI on burnett was bogus, but had it been a packer wr at the end of the game, i would want it called! 😛

I'm with you on the Burnett PI penalty. When they were showing it the wide receiver had just as much contact with Burnett on the play.

Even if Burnett didn't touch the receiver, Collins had that ball. Sucks.

Tausch call was bogus.

They kept calling holding on the Pack but you can clearly see Matthews getting held a majority of the time and getting no call. I made a comparison to the way Matthews and Peppers were getting held.

And I know this is a rule but I think the Zombo hit on Cutler was a bullshit penalty. This game protects the quarterback TOO MUCH today. Zombo had a form tackle on Cutler. He didn't lunge and he didn't lead with his helmet. He even had his arms partially wrapped around Cutler when his helmet hit his chin. What is Zombo supposed to do in this case? The game of football, especially in the pros is so damn fast. Is he supposed to make sure where he places his helmet on a tackle? Please.
If a running back, tight end or wide receiver get hit the exact same way, there is no call. I will argue this rule forever as I hate the protection they give quarterbacks. May as well put flags on them.

Ballet is important in the NFL for balance, not finesse. As my dad was/is a huge Steelers fan, I've seen more than my fair share of Steelers plays and games from the 70's and Swann was not afraid to mix it up if he needed to nor was Stallworth.

Football should have gracefulness without a doubt, but we should not sacrifice toughness for it. Maybe you like a nation that is mamby pamby, but I do not like it and I do not want the NFL to carry out that mentality either.

From my understanding of the pass interference rule, Morgan should not have been flagged. But he was because the league is sissy and favors passing offenses.

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
