Did anyone else think Woodson caught that INT at the end of the game and then fumbled it? I was surprised that McCarthy didn't challenge it, and the broadcast booth never showed a replay.

I think it was collins (on the only non-penalty INT) but regardless, yeah, I wanted to see a replay as well because I thought he made a 'football move' before losing the ball.

We committ 18 penalties and we're going to complain about the refs? Wow.

Wow, thanks for reading.

We committed more than 18, but by mercy the referee's didn't call them all.:)

How are the rules aiding talented players? That doesn't make sense to me at all. If you're talented you are good, regardless of the rules.

Forgive me, but I prefer football like we had in the '70's than what we see today. I think that was football. Today we have high priced entertainment and the rules are geared about what makes it exciting for the fans.

Football would be just as popular without a lot of these sissy rules, I do not doubt that one bit.

It takes more talent to make a play on the ball than it does to just wipe out the receiver. It's more of a finesse game this way. A lot of people don't think football should be like that. I see your point there. But I like it better. I think football is more fun to watch now than it was in the 70s.

I have a few gripes.

1. The intentional grounding call on Rodgers. I honestly just never see this called in that particular situation. There was little pressure, and his throw was about 20 yards downfield. They ignored the same call on Cutler in the 2nd quarter. So then we have 2nd and 20, and Jones fumbles trying to make something happen.

2. Chillar's phantom PI call. Olsen still made the catch, so it didn't matter, but I'm really curious what TWO refs saw to eagerly throw their flags on the field.

3. Morgan Burnett's PI call:

Tell me where in that clip a) Burnett initiates contact, and b) Bennett even remotely tries to go for the ball. If I were GB's coaches I would tell Burnett to keep playing it the same way. Again, the refs were EAGER to throw the flag. Three flags came in immediately, on a very questionable call. Three.

Thank you! Finesse is not Football, in my opinion.

There's some rules I think are good and some I think overboard. The ones that let the WR do unto the DB's but not vice versa I think are crap.

If the WR is truly "talented" it shouldn't matter if he's bumped.

If there is one rule that has screwed up the game more than any other, IMO, it is the stupid "illegal contact after 5 yards" rule. Its the biggest reason QB and WR stats have been so much bigger.

Also, have the refs abandoned the calls for illegal hands to the face on the offense? I've seen it countless times this year, in many games, and it's never called.

I wonder if it's because of the change in position of the umpire. Now the umpire is behind the OL, he is screened out from seeing hands to face by offense.

I thought it was called pretty fairly as well. I think that the call on Burnett was B.S. it looked to me like they were both guilty and I don't think a flag should have been thrown.

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?

dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
