What would be interesting, and I hope it never happens, is if Finley has to miss some time due to injury. Would Quarless be next in line to pick up the slack in the passing game? He is probably the second fastest and second most athletic tight end on the team.
Now, I'm no subscriber to the "Quarless is the next Finley" theory, because I just haven't seen much evidence of it, but considering how much Donald Lee appears to have declined as a receiver, there may be things that Quarless could do that Lee or Crabtree could not.
