For those of you who dont believe in Jesus. We could give credit to the big bang theory for banging and creating life

Although I don't necessarily agree with your viewpoints, I found that funny as hell. Ah it's late over here.

As for the Randy Moss issue, it is my opinion that we would have never been able to get him for only a 4th rounder, all the way back in January. I'm sure it took a hell of a lot of bargaining for it to come down to what it did, and that usually takes a lot of time.

Trades are up to the team who own the rights to the player being traded, Al Davis is a shrewd business man, he wasn't going to get rid of him early when there was absolutely no interest in a seemingly washed up, whiny, head case of a wide receiver. When he ended up dealing Moss there still wasn't any guarantee he'd even show his former greatness. If you followed football you'd know this.

Moss's absence on the Packers roster had NO impact on our season, and is one of the weakest arguments against Ted Thompson that I can think of.

Wait, I thought Ted said we never had any interest in Moss when the whole thing came out? Wasn't that one of the things Favre cited for why he didn't trust TT, because he had been lobbying Moss?

Close. Brett was upset because when asked if Brett had lobbied for Moss, according to Brett, Ted replied "no, i dont think so" or something to that effect.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe Ted acknowledge the potential trade for Moss then said he doesn't talk about players on another team, next question.

Forgetting that he turned a 4-12 team into a 13-3 team?
He did get rid of Favre, who is turning 39 and wasn't the most important part of this team. From what I remember, Favre had a season where he threw 20 TD's with 29 INT's. Only until Thompson surrounded him with huge playmakers such as Jennings, Jones, and Grant, then Favre didn't suck. Also, only 1 Quarterback ever at least 39 years of age has ever taken a team to the playoffs. Young inexperienced QB's however have proved they can do something when talent is around them (Ben Roethlisberger, Phillip Rivers). And believe me, this team is very talented. You should just accept the fact thatTed Thompsonis a great GM, and because of him this team will compete for many years to come. No way is he ever going to get canned.

Also, we don't have to witness those embarrassing Playoff game ending interceptions Favre loves to throw.

I won't give credit for Favre's success to TT, but more to MM. Why? It was the system that Favre excels at that Mike McCarthy set up. Yes, Jennings, Jones, and Grant were great finds. Hats off toTed Thompsonfor that. But I really think Mike McCarthy gets more credit that a lot of people on this board falsely giveTed Thompsonthe credit for.
Mike McCarthy built a system that depends on timing, execution, and he's great at exploiting opposing D's weaknesses. For instance, if a D has a bad set of DBs, he has Favre exploit that. The system worked. It took 2 years, but it works. The sad thing is I strongly believe Favre would have done even better the 3rd year into the system. Contrary to the beliefs of people with short attention spans, a Coach just doesn't go into a team and win it all the first year. It takes time to develop. (The guy who replaced Walsh (brain fart, forgot his name) an exception but all he did was inherit the system already in place).
Mike McCarthy also understands Favre's weakness and in the 2nd year of the system, finally convinced Favre to not go for it all, take it a little bit at a time, and throw the "kill" shot when they're not expecting it. Thus, you have dink, dink, dink, BOMB. It works, and Favre excelled last year because of it. Favre was also really good at placing the ball exactly where it should be on the timing routes, thus enabling our WRs to turn a 6 yard gain into a 12 yard gain. He made it look easy, but it's not. It takes precise execution to do that or else everyone would be doing that.

So, not being anti-TT here, but more like giving the credit where it's really due - MM.

You make alot of great points. I would give equal credit to both Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson . Mike McCarthy was able to control somewhat Favre's wild style of play. Which led to alot of success. I give Mike McCarthy credit for making Favre a bit more conservative, while I give Ted Thompson credit for surrounding him with weapons. Mike Sherman sure wasn't surrounding him with that many. Hell, Ted Thompson hired MM, so it all goes back to TT, haha.

I still can't believe all the people who wanted Randy Moss on our team.Has it been so long since this ass pulled that stunt at Lambeau. How could anybody ever think this butthead would ever be received as a team player for the Pack. No matter how talented you think he is, he disrespected us in our own house. How can anyone forget this,I never will.

Per the stunt of the fake moon. I'm not NEARLY as upset at Moss for doing it as I am upset that NO ONE on the Packers slammed Moss to the turf for doing that in OUR house. The penalty would have been 15 yards on the kickoff, big freaking deal. The means justifies the cause in that case.

The lack of action showed me the Packers team was soft.
