Cheater.

Does NOT belong in the HOF.

If he would have just admitted it a few years ago, he would have saved himself a lot of trouble. The dude has basically been in hiding since the Senate hearings, which as embarassing as they were I would have hid out for a while too. People seem to be more forgiving if you just admit it than go about it like he or Clemens have.

That homerun chase was unbelievable. I still look back on it with fond memories, but it's like watching a movie based on actual events. You know they added to the story to make it more interesting than it really was.

I don't care when he admitted to using. I still don't forgive him. He embarrassed the St. Louis Cardinals and stole money from me. I attended 6 games in 1998 thinking I was witnessing history, when I was in fact just witnessing a cheater.

Oh, no, I don't mean his slate would be wiped clean. You're absolutely right. He cheated, and it doesn't matter when the truth comes out. I just mean that the public seems to not necessarily forgive, but move on quicker when the truth comes out right away. Doesn't make it right, though.

I am glad this is over. I was pssed when he was lieing about it but now I am willing to give him some slack.

Not The Hall. Not yet.

There are other players who used it and got away with it (So far).
There are those who used other drugs in the 80's (Not Steroids) and they are in The Hall. Where do we draw the line? Those who we are suspicious of? Those who we have proof of? Does that mean the liars like Bonds if they get away with it are allowed in The Hall?
It is tough to say.

So if I cheat on a test and get caught, I should still get a passing grade because others may have been cheating as well?

Its real simple. If you are caught, or admit to using, you are banned from the HOF. That simple.

Easy IM. I am not saying he is right or that he should not be kept out of the Hall. I am saying others who cheat and lie and get away with it are not being held as accountable as those who cheat and then admit to it. And that doesn't seem right. I wish we could catch them all.

I think the HR record should be set back to 61*.

Zero2Cool (14h) : Steelers land Jalen Ramsey via Trade
dfosterf (26-Jun) : I think it would be great to have someone like Tom Grossi or Andy Herman on the Board of Directors so he/they could inform us
dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.
wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
