Well if we were playing the SI writers then there I don't would be no sneaking up. I don't think we are anywhere near under the radar with a 7-1 finish anyway. So if we can't surprise them why not be on top.

On a whim, I went to NFL.com and watched the highlights from every game this year, and one thing stood out - the prevent stuff that Capers uses just doesn't work. It failed miserably against the Vikings, it nearly cost the Packers against the 49ers and it killed them against the Steelers.

I hope that Capers has learned from this during the season, because there's plenty of examples of it not working.

I hope that Capers has learned from this during the season, because there's plenty of examples of it not working.

It baffles me that the Prevent still gets used as often as it does in the NFL. If you've blitzed all day long, and it's been paying off - why back off when there's little time left on the clock? Whoever started this belief should be shot.

I know.
I have seen the "prevent defense" prevent the team using it to win more times then not.
