Tripp...it is your side making the claims of imminent world demise, therefore, it is incumbent on you to show ME where Gore's cult flick is accurate/factual. And answer me this...why have MILLIONS of years of climate fluxuations been completely ignored/discarded by this movement?

Greenland is called Greenland for a reason...it used to be lush...long before man and industry, it iced over. Please explain!

Oceans rising to swallow entire cities? C'mon...a little common sense here. How many times has a deadline for the planet's demise come and passed..and we are still here..coastal cities intact. I forget who it was, but a very higher up in the international MMGW movement was quoted on BBC as saying that they routinely exagerate their findings/claims to gin up fear so action may be taken. Again...give me an HONEST debate, or shut the fuck up (not you Tripp..the enviro- mobsters)! This is nothing but a shakedown.

These pricks have been rigging data, exagerating their findings, and using a very complicit media to run this thing through. Why should I have faith in this crowd after all this? Unfortunately, there is a mindset here that ANY means justify the ends. No...honest debate should be the standard...and something we are not getting.

Mass...rather than discussion with someone you disagree with, I am a right-wing, Fox- loving, nutjob. You make my point for me...don't agree with them, dismiss them with names and ignorance....thanks!

Quite the piece of work you are!

Who will make millions? Companies who benefit from the movement (GE comes to mind), and more specifically, governments and the carbon credit brokers who all happen to be tied in one way or another to Al Gore and his merry band of chicken littles.

And let me ask you this..why is it wrong to want to keep what I earn? I am happy to pay taxes for the good of this nation, but why is it greedy to want to keep what I work for. Is it not truly greedy for you to take from soemone to give to someone else who is less productive, or to some world organization whose motives I question?

I prefer non-fiction, Tripp. I like to listen to those who have no vested interest in the movement. I view a number of national and intenational news publications..BBC, Sky News, CNN, Fox, etc......some with right leanings, some with left as there, unfortunately, is no longer an animal called unbiased news. It is a shame.... shame...what ever happened to just reporting the facts and leaving opinions at home?

Did not Al Gore recently claim that the earth's core was "millions of degrees" over in Copenhagen...and immediately had to back track? Yep...he did...saw the vdeo clip....a mental giant he ain't!

Ok, lets turn it around and look at the other side. Who benefits from there being NO global warming?

Oil Companies, that's who. Trillions of Dollars is at stake if we move to a oil free society.

Want motivation? threatening someone's current luxurious lifestyle will drive more sinister behavior than one who might make a million...

Oh, and digs....have you seen the movie?

Therefore, I will assume you have not seen the movie. Yet you are engaging on the debate and debunking it's claims. It is not Gore's claims..... he is simply the messanger and public speaker.

watch the movie than come back and tell me where he distorted any facts. I would be interested in hearing from you regarding that.

Your posts later were a bit more substantive, but that one was beneath you, thus the Fox News comparison. 🙂 We really don't need to hear about researchers taking "money out of our pockets" and making billions of dollars. I mean come on.

I stated earlier that I did not watch Al's B- movie, but have seen numerous extended clips of it...kinda have to live in a cave not to have exposure to it. Al is poised to make millions/billions off of his efforts...something of a vested interest, and a conflict of interest, don't you think? But going back a few posts, I have a visceral negative response to ANYONE..right, left, center...who had the audacity/arrogance to claim/demand the debate is over.?

You are right with the flip side of the coin...oil companies will make millions..it is entirely politicized on both sides, no argument there. But oil companies do not want to change the entire construct on my world, country and society.

Re-read the post mass...I did not say researchers were making billions..I said billions were at stake in the overarching totality of the movement, and that researchers' livelihoods depended on a very specific opinion. When you made the statement that jobs/wages were all they got, I questioned that with the possibility/probability that they are getting a little something on the side from their keepers...and I do beleive they are kept creatures on a short leash.

This is a money grab...no way around it.

Tripp...I have read the opinions of SCIENTISTS on both sides of the arguement (arguement because there is no real debate), I do not listen to Als' puffery.
