My biggest worry is I think the Packers have a great shot at going to the NFC championship game against the Vikes. That means taking out 2 very powerful offenses in the Cards and Saints. So with me this confident be afraid very afraid because i haven't been like this all year. And i am finally giving Rodgers his props, Shit, hell must be freezing over ( feels like it here with 15 below wind chill). Our run will end to the old geezer and he will win the super bowl and finally get out forever, and we can control the North for the next few years.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

There is no way the Vikes beat us three times in one season.
They had their big day yesterday.

only way I see that happening is if again the refs are biased toward favre ... if not we take it from them like taking candy from a baby.

Old Post.

Is it being negative or looking for the logic behind the optimism?

I don't think Dom Capers can turn this defense around because I think their is a talent problem. I worry about our aging corners. Harris's decline has started and C-Wood is bound to slow down sometime. I don't know what Raji will bring to the table as a rookie or how Kampman will adjust. Will Hawk break out? Will Barnett be at 100% and improve on his past mistakes?

Their are lots of ????? on Defense. If you put a tarp over a leaky roof does it solve the problem or just make it look like you made an attempt to do so. Sanders was a god to most in 07 and now he's the fall guy. I think the talent, and lack of depth is the problem.

I would agree, there were a lot of questions. I don't know of anyone who ever said Bob Sanders was a God as our DC, no one. I think a lot of questions have been answered after 16 games and next year the defense should be even better with more of the right personnel in place.

Looks like this was wrong.
The defensive line for GB for the year was:
83 yards rushing per game.
201 passing per game.
284 Total per game.

In the 6 games they played without 2 of their best defensive players the line was:
71 yards rushing
217 yards passing
288 total yards.

Looks like they did pretty well with Jones playing LB and Williams stepping up to CB and others filling in behind them.

Keep in mind the passing yards are skewed higher from the 472 they gave up to Pittsburgh. That was nearly double the other 5 games.

One way to not let this happen is for the Eagles to beat the 'Boys on Saturday. If that happens we get the Vikes after we take out the Cards and the Eaglets will have to face the Saints.

We definately want the Eagles to win. That would keep the door open for a Pack/Eagles NFC Title game in Lambeau still alive(and our best path to the SB too).

(I got rid of your red color as I am red-green color blind and could not read your post without changing it.)

I include Bush in the "other guys" but since they used 5 LB or 6 DB at times I did not specifically mention him. It was the entire defense that stepped up.
