This almost gives us a bye week to rest up, I saw we take advantage of it.

It's going to give me some fantasy football headaches, but I would allow the backups to show us what we have and get some regular season tape on these guys.

But Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson keep their jobs based on wins and losses and I wouldnt want to toss a game away. 11-5 sounds better than 10-6.

That's why you do fantasy championship in week 16. Of course, if your QB is Payton (like me), then you're screwed regardless. lol

I'm in the finals in both my leagues, and the one I really care about I have Eli as my QB. I said I'd gladly take a FF loss if the Packers win and Giants lose... And it's looking that way. Oh well! Real football > fake football

We need to rest people in my opinion...if there's things the starting offense needs to work on in week 17 of the season, I doubt 1 half would do all that much to accomplish that goal.

Rest the starters, and play very vanilla.

Play starters the 1st half. Then pull them.
Rest anyone thats dinged up.
Hopefully, we will get Pickett back for the playoffs.

All of the players keep talking about how important it is to keep momentum going and to keep winning. I get the feeling that it is something talked about in the locker room quite a bit by coaches etc..

I think there are three ways to look at the game in Week 17:
1. Play it vanilla so you don't "give anything away". Not my favorite option, because Arizona already has 15 weeks of game film to see what we do, and playing at less than 100% can lead to injuries.
2. Test them but don't show them anything new. The #1 purpose would be to show them a number of looks to see how they respond, and scout them that way.
3. Set them up by showing them some stuff and then taking advantage of what their tendencies may be the next week. Not the best example, but in one game you can hit the quick slant a bunch of times to set up the slant and go. In this situation, we have an entire game to set things up.

I like this scenario.

But it's interesting to see players like Sir Charles and coaches like Philbin be blunt and say that the team isn't clicking completely. It's not hard to realize their referencing the offense. Until the Grant run, our Offense was struggling.

I wouldn't mind a game plan calling for multiple looks for the purpose of scouting AND trying to get our Offense in a rhythm.

I agree with that scenario but it sounds like the players want to play it balls to the walls and win it.
Hopefully resting players wouldn't squander that enthusiasm and cause them to come out flat in the playoff game.
We all know that has happened in the past.

Honestly, I want the 5 seed so we can play the Cardinals. I really don't want to see the Eagles in the first round.

So I say play the starters until we get a good lead and then bench them. Don't play anyone that is dinged up (ex.: Ryan Pickett).

Note to McCarthy. If you pull Clifton and Tauscher, get Rodgers out with them.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
