There is already free healthcare out there for anyone that needs it. For SERIOUS conditions. If you have no coverage, and have a serious thing happen, a hospital can't turn you away.

But there's a basic human right to healthcare! And proactive healthcare! Without affecting your credit if you need to file bankruptcy. A basic human right.

Some people just don't understand that there's such a thing as finite resources. We simply cannot have 100% of people in this nation with a good amount of food, a home, a job, proactive healthcare, education, etc. The government can try to make it work by printing more and more money and borrowing more and more money, but all you're doing is borrowing from your children and driving up inflation.

Do I wish that every person in the world had a home, a job, enough food to eat, all the healthcare they need to live a long and healthy life? Of course. However, it's simply not possible. I fear this healthcare reform bill might be needed to get people to realize that the government can't keep spending and spending and spending without serious repercussions. You know, just like if YOU get seriously into debt.

Reagan was the best we had recently. But he was way too conservative for liberals.
And Yoop, the reason Republicans are so against health reform is that the "reform" the Democrats set forth are for the government to control everything. And they KNOW that will kill our healthcare system.
If doctors know they won't get paid decently and will be spending most of their time seeing people with common colds and "boo boos", why go through all the work it takes to become a doctor?
People will stop going to school to be docs if there's no payoff in the end.
And just look around......our government is like "King Midus"..........except everything they touch doesn't turn to gold, it turns to shit.

The government will end up destroying any good healthcare we now have. Think it takes long to get in to see a doctor now? Wait until it's "free!" Anyone with the sniffles will be in to see a doctor. Thus, making REAL medical conditions wait.

That's why Ninja. Their healthcare is screwed up.....the way ours WILL be, shortly.
I just don't know WHY people don't see that.
Awhile back i saw a clip of a woman on TV. She was waiting in line for "Obama money". The guy questioning her asked "Where is the money coming from?" She said "Obama!" When asked "Where does Obama get it from?" She said she didn't care. That's the mindest of a large portion of our country. As long as "I get mine!" they don't give a DAMN WHO it hurts.

Where did Obama get the money from? Our pockets, thats where.

LOLOL!!!
Yes Ninja, it is.
Unfortunately, most people today don't seem to care. As long as they get something, they are willing to give up the very freedoms that so many of our ancestors fought and died to get for us.
It's sad.

I think that we're on to something here.

I've heared that Obama has gathered a herd of communist Mudkids. Apparently, he has filled them with anthrax and is going to let them loose when the Replucans are petting the rabbits and unicorns at the petting zoo.

The Republicans actually have pictures.

WHY the hell should the upperclass be taxed higher? i'll never understand that. those people worked hard to get where they are so why should they have to 'bail out' the lower class people?

See this is BS. Most upperclass were born into their wealth, not "worked hard" for it. If they want to tax the rich, than go after the trust funds and envoke laws to against the free passage of wealth within a family.

I really dislike people that have been handed their whole lives on a silver platter.

Now, the people I do respect are those which have built their lives from ground up and "worked hard" to have earned everything they own. Unfortunatly, this is 90 percent of your tax base.

ok so you hate me then, dakota. i stand to inherit a large amount of farmland and property that my dad busted his ass to acquire & take care of his entire life. so say i was born with a silver spoon in my mouth if you must but trust me i learned the value of hard work from my dad. believe it or not, i HATE the idea that i will never have to really work hard to have a good life. i know, that probably sounds stupid but when you come from a farming community, hard work is all there is!

now i probably sound like a whiny 'rich' kid, right? well, lemme tell ya - i drive a 99 chevy blazer with 130,000 miles on it which is fully paid for, don't wear designer clothes, clip coupons, & NEVER pay full price for anything! cuz i want to leave the majority of that wealth to my children.

So I see my post questioning why Republicans are adamantly against health care reform has been removed.
Interesting to say the least.
As a registered Republican and formerly a Republican election inspector, I can guarantee that most people posting on this forum cannot afford to be voting Republican.

Ever wonder why Republicans are so adamantly against health care reform?
I certainly do!
I wonder why they don't even propose any meaningful alternatives.
Hmmm, something to think about!
