Washed up? Hardly.
I said last year, BF was a better QB than P Manning and he was #2 after Tom Brady. Unfortunately, Brady's out for the season. I hate to see BF win the title because of someone else getting hurt.
BF currently leads the NFL in both TD passes and QB rating. I know QB rating isn't the end all/be all of ways to rate a QB, but I'm just bringing it up just because.
Favre threw 12 TDs, Rivers 10, Cutler 9, Romo, Brees, and Warner are all tied in 3rd place at 8. Note that all six of them have played 4 games. Weird thing - all six QBs threw four INTs each.
Another thing to keep in mind, Favre isn't throwing that much. All five other QBs have more pass attempts and even P Manning has only four less pass attempts and he's had his bye week.
Favre doesn't have the luxury of a running game either. The Jets running game is 28th in the NFL, and neither of their top two RBs have broken the four yards per carry barrier.
So...best QB in the NFL? We've only played a quarter of the season, but so far, looking like BF can wear that label. Let's see if it continues.
