I think that the fact that the ball traveled forward made everyone (me included) think it was a forward pass.
I must admit, i was SHOCKED when the whistle wasn't blown and the call was upheld.

Had the Bears player (I don't remember for sure who it was) been aware, he could have scooped up the ball and probably scored on the play. But he gave a half hearted attempt to pick it up, and just let it roll on the ground. (Thankfully!)

I was surprised the whistle wasn't blown also. I am so accustomed to them blowing plays dead and not being able to correct them with replay. Like last week, the Fumble reviewed we got lucky because it was clear Tramon picked the ball up. Where the Steelers were screwed because they say possession was not reviewable on the blocked FG. If we are going to have replay they should be able to fix anything. And with Scoring plays, if the ball carrier gets tackled right at the Endzone, if the official calls TD it gets reviewed automatically, if they call it short it doesn't. Officials should call any place close a TD just to use the review.

Or get rid of it all together which I wouldn't mind.
