Why use 2nd half to 1st half?

I thought it was all about cold weather? Or when weather "turns" was the word you used...Weather turning to me means getting colder..

No telling where those games in 2nd half were played, could been in domes AND warm weather

Because the 2nd half begins in November when the weather starts to turn. You're right some of those games were played in warm weather and domes, but the QBs having home games in warm climes and domes played more games in those conditions than those who play home games in cold climate-outdoor stadiums.

Well DUH......I know Nov and Dec are NORMALLY the start of cold weather but thats not a given..

Look at this year in....just this week it started to get cold..Hell Thanksgiving Milwaukee was near 50..In Milwaukee the Sat AFTER turkey day I was in shorts outside hanging Christmas lights...So you cant trust that ALL the games in Nov and Dec were under 40...

That is why if your going to compare q/b in "cold" games use the stat provided on the site which clearly labels the temp..

But doesnt matter

We could argue this all day long

I got my theory as you do

Packers play Arizona in the second half of the season. It'll be pretty comfortable weather in AZ at that time, plus, the roof will probably be closed.

The time of year is irrelevant. The actual game time temperature of an outside stadium is what matters.

Like it has been said numerous times in this thread; why do it by the time of year, when you have statistics for games that are done in cold and freezing? Time of year stats miss the games that are played in warm areas, plus dome games.

LOL

Yes of course...But for stats provided for the 2nd half..How many were in domes, how many were under 40 degrees how many were in a warm climate...Way to many variables to judge the q.b with just 2nd half..

Manning could have 50 games in a dome or warm weather and only 5 in a game under 40 degrees..Rodgers or Brett could be just the opposite..

not really fair to judge them on just on 2nd half..

You can eliminate ALL those variables when saying whats their rating under 40 degrees

You don't have a roof over your house, do you?

Either you're really stupid, or you're playing ignorant with perfection while adding a touch of motivation of being a prick. Or I'm just missing the point all together. (I'm putting my money on the latter)

I'll try to make this simple (so at least I can follow along).

When you play in a warm climate city, ie Tempe, San Fransisco, Miami, etc ... the temperature is going to be fairly comfortable or hot, regardless of the time of year.

When you play a team in a dome, the temperature is 70 degrees no matter what day of the year it is. Interesting isn't it?

Therefore when comparing Favre's games that he's played in the cold (meaning not under a roof with a controlled climate), with other QB's who played in the month of December, that's really irresponsible in regards to the accuracy of your research.

It's a fact that Favre has tailed off performance wise in colder games at the end of seasons. Have other QB's? I don't know, I never cared enough to look it up.

If one were to look it up, they'd have to find the game time temperature's of each game of each QB and set a barometer, ie 30 degrees or less to collect data for the comparison.

To say that games in December = colder games, that's quite idiotic when you fail to incorporate dome teams and warm weather cities into the mix.

Zero2Cool (7h) : HUMP DAY
beast (7h) : Guys that have a good shot at making the NFL Hall of Fame usually get into their teams pretty fast
beast (7h) : Yeah, but is Kampman and the others in the NFL Hall of Fame?
Zero2Cool (7h) : Johnson was Hall of Fame, 2020. Should haev been in Ring a year later, not three years.
Zero2Cool (7h) : I could be wrong there though
Zero2Cool (7h) : Guys like Kampman, Tim Harris, Al Harris, etc all over 15 years. Hall of Fame is 5 year wait
Zero2Cool (7h) : I guess I see players in Packers Hall come way later
beast (7h) : Yeah, usually teams hall of fames are a much lower bar than the NFL
Zero2Cool (7h) : is it uncommon for Hall before Ring?
Zero2Cool (7h) : S Xavier McKinney named first-team All-Pro by NFLPA
beast (9h) : I missed it, sorry, but he got into the NFL Hall of Fame years before that
Zero2Cool (9h) : Jones took his sweet ole time!
Zero2Cool (9h) : Yeah, he's in the ring of honor, just saw video and his name is up there
Zero2Cool (9h) : Didn't they have a thing in 2023 for Jimmy's ring of honor? I swear I saw it
beast (9h) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (9h) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty
beast (23h) : Cowboys denied Bears request
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : From what I'm reading, MM is under contract through the 14th of January; after that he's free game
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : McCarthy let go or not extended??
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Chicago Bears have asked the Dallas Cowboys permission to interview Mike McCarthy for head coaching vacancy
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : The winners page that is

Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : That might be it for the Vikings
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Oh so the refs do know what intentional grounding is
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : what the hell was that Goff?! Not much pressure and he just air mails it to Harrison
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : They really need to to get rid of the auto first down for illegal contact
Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : didn't have guys in his face ... pressure makes difference
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Where was this Darnold vs GB?
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : BALL DON'T LIE
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : how was that not a safety? Goff throws it at an offensive lineman
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Zero, I thought that was a given! ;)
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Zero I looked through earlier and noticed the same thing. Bonkers year. I just wonder if beast put any money on games
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : I'm hoping for BLOODBATH. Pummel one another.
