10 wins for the Pack will almost certainly get us in.

The NFC East have toi play each other so often that its tough for those teams to get to 11.

The Giants look to have saved their season with a win tonight.

Looking at the Cowboys scedule they could lose their remaining games. December strikes again for Romo and his boys.

Looked that up, as well. They might actually still go 8-8. The schedule makers haven't done Romo any favors.

Even if they win 2 and go to 10-6, we'd still get the WC spot over them, due to our win against the 'Boys.

But we'd only get the tie breaker over the Cowboys if it was a 2-way tie between us.

If its a 3 way, a possibility with the Giants winning tonight, then I think the head to head wouldnt be used and it would go to conference record.

The 49er loss is good for us.

That just adds to the liklihood that the Cards will have nothing to play for by game 16 and rest their starters in our last game.

Who to root for? Very simple. The Packers.

"Rockmolder" wrote:

Yes.

Except your Packers dug a little hole. Now not only they must dig themselves out of it, but they'll most likely need help from other teams. So, root for the teams that'll help your Packers get in. (Kinda like the Cards beating the Vikes in '03.. Yes, you needed help that year.)

Not to mention, it'll give you something to cheer for this Sunday. I know how long Sundays are when your favorite team isn't playing, so it's not a bad thing to have some sort of emotional interest in another teams loss.

=) <===That means I'm just pointing something out, not arguing with your statement.

We don't need help. We just need to win our last 5 games.

Well, you'd be in the hunt. but if the other WC teams win out that can.. I don't know if you guys would be in the playoffs. Although, I haven't looked at the other teams schedules, so I'm not sure if they can all win out along with you guys (if they match up against each other from here on out).

"Formo" wrote:

No, if we win the next 5, no one can overtake us. We'd be 12-4. The only other team that's in the WC hunt that could match that record would be the Eagles.

That said, I don't think that we'll win the last 5 games, but with the Falcons throwing one away and the Giants still up against the Cowboys, Eagles (big one for us), Redskins, Panthers and Vikings, I'm pretty confident that 10 wins would get us in. And that's pretty much what I'm expecting from this team, as well. 10 wins.

Go Cowboys.

Yeah, you're right. When I looked at the NFC East standings, I looked at the Giants' record as if they didn't play yet this week, even though they beat Dallas. Right now, they are at 7-5. One game behind the Iggles, and if you guys win tomorrow, will be one game behind you guys. I was, for some reason, thinking that you guys and the G-Men had the same record.

If you guys win out, you'll be in the playoffs. Your destiny is in your own hands, despite the unlikeliness of winning the division. It's what you want.
