Who is to blame for the lack of a running game? The O line, Grant, or the combo of both? They talked about it a little on TV, Grant was missed a few cuts. But at the same time, there were not a whole lot of holes for him for the most part.

You summed it up nice, equal on both, the line has been horrible particularly when sealing the edge on outside runs when we run stretch plays and such, our short yardage runs are pretty bad too.

Yeah, well it pretty much sums it up when you look at the rushing stats from the game. Grant 15 carries for 20 yards, and Jackson, 1 rush for 0 yards.

You rush for 20 yards in a game..Your not going to win many.

I'm not saying the O-line is without blame, but for the love of Pete - Grant goes down like a ton of bricks when a defender gets within shouting distance. I vurp a little every time I see him carry the ball and ALMOST get to the line of scrimmage before a defender locks eyes with him from 5 ft away and he hits the turf as a result. Dude, it's one thing to get your money, but at least act as if.

WOW! Is this a joke comment? Did anyone catch Grants helmet? The black streaks all along it? I'm surprised Ryan didn't break a piece of his helmet off. I heard many pops and didn't ever see him fall before a tackle or just go down. The Buc's are a very good defense. They tackled well, they caught the ball when they got their chances. They just outplayed us.

DON'T take away from a good hit(s) and tackles by saying Ryan was scared or bad.

Quite honestly I'm tired of this crying that Grant was a waste of money. When he breaks off this year. If I hear but one beep of excitement from any of you... :whipitgood:

Lets just say this......so far, Grant has dome NOTHING to earn his money. With the kind of money he is getting, he SHOULD be able to get at LEAST 3 yards on his own every carry. He's getting paid as an elite back.
He's gonna have to do ALOT the rest of this season to earn what he's getting paid.
I wish Lumpy would have been healthy........i bet he would have got positive yards every carry/ Maybe not ALOT of positives yards, but at LEAST some.

If the fans are disapointed by grants play so far this season it certainly has merit. We are a quarter of the way through the season and haven't seen one productive game from our running attack. When and if he turns the corner and produces productive yards it will be blessing to AR. This alone can stop the non stop blitzing from every team we have played. I would like to see jackson handle the ball more with quick hitters straight up the middle. One carry doesn't cut it.

You guys act like during Grant's runs he is thinking about his pay check or something... if you've ever participated in a sport you know that none of this is anywhere near your mind when your in the game.

There's your bottom line, right there. I don't blame Grant for wanting more money - I blame Thompson for paying him. It's a study in incongruity: shove your 16-year face-of-the-franchise QB out the door, and then make a half-year wonder RB a rich man.

If the Bears or Vikes had done this we'd all have schadenfreude coming out of our earholes, laughing ourselves silly.
