I am still fuming about the playcalling when we got the ball back on the 1. Everyone in the stadium and every person in the TV audience knew exactly what McCarthy was going to call, so I guarantee the Lions defensive staff knew too.
I will admit the playcalling in the first half was pretty damn good. I would really like to see a balanced game, though. We rack up lots of yards in the first half, then climb into our shells and try to ride out the storm. I don't get it.

I didn't mind the play call that much. I mean, what are you going to do in that position? I wouldn't trust throwing the ball with our O-line. As good as they may have been this game, the pressure still got there pretty quick because of some bad mental errors at times.
It looked like an inside run, one you call to get some breathing room around your own end zone, but our O-line, once again, couldn't generate any kind of push. They got overpowered by the Lions D-line and LBs.
One thing I wouldn't have minded was giving the ball off to Quinn Johnson there. Just see and try if he can bruise it up the middle for 2 yards, with John Kuhn having just one hand available.
