I was actually wondering if it'd be better to put Jordy Nelson out there in the nickel.

Bush actually didn't have big gaffes this game, he was generally tight in coverage. He has the exceptional athleticism needed to succeed in a zone scheme - I think he can hold his own if needed.

Jordy is in no way better suited than Bush to be our Nickel. I do expect the Packers to use their open roster spot to go out and sign a CB - we desperately need one. Either that, or switch Derrik Martin back to CB (*shudders*)....

I'm still holding out hope its a knee sprain for Al, although from the initial looks of the pain he was in, I fear its much worse.

It's just that he shouldn't be on the field as a nickel back. I can barely justify the time he's getting on the field as a dime back, apart from injuries.

He's just not good enough to play against the third receiver of most teams. I mean, he'll be ok against the Lions, most likely, so if Harris isn't out for too long, it'd be ok.

I don't want him out there against the Ravens, though. Can you imagine Woodson being on Heap, Williams on Mason and Bush on Clayton? Switch Woodson and Bush and I'm still not sure he can take a somewhat good TE.

Ahmad Carroll has the athleticism to play in a zone defense, as well. He surely didn't do to well for the Jets. Never even made the field.

CB Al Harris needed to lean on a trainer just to limp out of the locker room. I'd be stunned if he plays again this season.

Knee injuries to Harris and Kampman "don't look very good," McCarthy said. Grant suffered a stinger but should be fine

Yeah, but it was still a pretty funny comment. I think you captured a lot of fans' angst (including my own) about Bush on the field pretty nicely with that comment. When Bush is bad, he is near Ahmad Carrol bad (trom should choke a little reading that name)...

Bush has had some bright spots in his career, and the last couple of games. I think he has the talent to be successful, especially in this scheme. I hope (pray) that he has turned the corner and can be consistent, because it sure looks like he'll get some big chunks of playing time now...

Chillar should cover the TE in that situation.

And I'm being told that despite how it appeared, Kampman's injury is likely the worst of the two.

I doubt that we'll see either of the two back this season.

Oh lord, please don't let this be the end of Al's career. Al Harris may be almost 35 years old, but damn, there isn't many that are better than him right now.

I also feel like crying that when I saw Kampman wave to the crowd, I knew that that may be the last time he ever sets foot on Lambeau wearing that uniform.

Terrible day, injury wise.

I actually think this increases the chances Kampman will be back next season. He's likely not going to get a big pay day coming off a major injury..
