I mean "we" as in WE, us, not just one specific person. Your quote was just an example. Sorry, please spank me. Err don't.

If we got lucky the refs wouldn't have made the wrong call on the 4th down "catch" that bounced off the turf to begin with.

There's a difference between a blown judgment call, and the refs either being ignorant of or forgetting the rules of the game.

I think a few here also forget that in challenges, MM isn't really the one that makes that call.. you have a couple fellows in the booth upstairs watching the broadcast that really have direct input into those calls.. MM on the sidelines can't see that angle to the goal line...

So if we want to gripe about it... then maybe the guy up in the booth should make some kind of egg comment this week.. then we will have a new guy in the booth.

Seriously.. in terms of gaffs.. it wasn't a Bill Bellicheat type of gaff from Sunday night.

The ref crew yesterday was confusing as hell.. that was one lost crew let me tell you.. Tiplett was lost.. and it reflected badly upon the NFL ability to man the games effectively.

So we can count on the refs screwing up the call each week?

What a asinine comment.

This goes to the masses here. I'm just not sure how such petty things get blown so large and grow legs for so long with ya.

The asinine comment was yours claiming there was nothing wrong with the third challenge which we didn't have. Just because the officials were incompetent all day doesn't mean that it was the right thing to do. Not knowing how many challenges you have is a dumb mistake, and we were lucky to not get penalized 15 yards for delay of game. But I guess since we won McCarthy is immune from criticism this week.

Well apparently they were trying to decide whether to challenge it or not.. ran the clock down.. but with this comment I don't like the call.. why burn a challenge.. if it doesn't look positive for a overturn.. then why waste a challenge? Especially #2.

Not that big of a deal, but agree that it is a gaff...

http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/ic/blogs/insider/index.shtml

On challenges: First one (Williams fumble) came from both upstairs and on field. Second one (Nelson) was a time-clock issue; wasn't sure would get call in, so once got below 10 seconds on play clock, would have had to take timeout anyway so decided to challenge. Emotions factored, but in hindsight, "you probably don't want to do that because we're first-and-inches."
